Well it’s Friday, the sun is shining and the weekend is almost upon us, what more

could you ask for!!

I am looking forward to my weekend. Tomorrow I am off to a Scrapbook Sisters crop where I will be meeting up with my LCI teamie Sue! I can’t wait! I have already started packing away what I need to take, although I think I need to be a bit more sensible and unpack half of it, I don’t think I really need to take the entire contents of my craft room! Will try and take some photos to share!

So onto my card and yes, you read the title correctly, not a single flower on my card today!!

My card is for a good friend of mine will be celebrating her birthday in a couple of weeks. I bought some of the new Stamping Bella Uptown Girl stamps a few weeks ago from Quixotic Paperie and this is the first chance I have had to use one. She is called Lucille Sends Her Love. I put her together with MME Oh La La paper pad and I think they are perfect together! The sentiment and gorgeous ribbon are both from Ladybug Crafts Ink. I added a little charm that the lovely Lisa gave to me when I visited a couple of weeks ago. It was with a selection of little charms that she gave to both Laurie and I! I finished off with some glamour dust and pearls.

Good Morning All

I hope your week is going well. It seems like everyone is coming down with some bug or other so if you are suffering I hope you feel better soon! I am back today with a card for the new challenge at Moving Along With The Times. Sandra is our gorgeous hostess today and the theme is;

I used one of the LOTV pre-coloured images, it did feel a little bit like cheating but I do love these images and I am not very good at colouring fur! Here is my card:

The image is called Thomas the Cat which you can get here. I have used my new freebie papers again which are Hot off the Press Soft Nostalgia. I really like the colours of these papers. I used my Cheery Lynn Die and my Martha Stewart fench punch (which looks a little crooked!)

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well and have had a good start to the week. Just a quickie from me this morning, I forgot to schedule this last night!

I wanted to share another card with you using the new Ladybug Crafts Ink Floral Delight digi images.

So onto my card:

I used Wellies Delight which you can get here. (The photos look a little blurry, didn't notice that before!) I teamed the image with my Echo Park Country Drive pack which I thought was perfect with the little ladybug and the colours! I used my Cheery Lynn Miniature Rose Die and my Madera Corner Memory Box Die. The ribbon is just from my stash. I added some glamour dust which you can’t really see very well and the charm is one I picked up in Yorkshire last week!

I made the flowers with lots of layers of crepe paper and then coloured them with my copics to match the colour in the image. You can't see from the photo but they are very dimensional. I think I will be using crepe paper again to make these!

A Saturated Canary Card

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Well Saturday whizzed by in a flash! Had a fun afternoon with my sister and nephew yesterday. I am off this morning to meet up with a friend for a bit of window shopping! I am popping into the Apple store to see if my iPad can be fixed. It died about 2 weeks ago and am lost without it!

I managed to fit in some colouring and a card yesterday. I wanted to join in with the Saturated Canary challenge this week as I have missed the last two. Here is my card:

I used Whispy, a Fairy which you can get here. I love her outfit! The paper is Isabelle from First Edition which I bought in Yorkshire last week. I have taken inspiration from Kerry for my flowers as I have used aida fabric which Kerry has been using a lot of recently. Not sure mine are quite as good as hers yet! I used my mini rolled rose die from Die-namics at Dies to Die For which you can get here. They have a brand new monthly challenge blog now which is very exciting!

I followed the sketch at Quixotic Paperie but made it circular, (hope that’s ok girls)!

Good Morning Everyone

I hope your weekend has started well and you have some nice things planned.

I have made a card today using a Sugar Nellie image which I bought a few weeks ago. Her name is Manga Girl #1 which you can get from Funky Kits here.

I have been desperate to use the my new Portobello Road paper pack which I bought a couple of weeks ago! In fact everything on my card is new today! The ribbon is also from the same collection which I bought last week in Yorkshire! The pin is from my blogging buddy Laurie who gave me a selection to try out!

I think my colouring is awful on this card, the hair and skin aren’t great and I nearly didn’t post the card but I guess we should post the good and the bad (and I also liked the paper too much!) I have been watching a lot of colouring videos lately to try and improve. It so frustrating sometimes and it does take away the enjoyment.

Anyway! I had better get going, got a few bits to do before I go and meet my sister and nephew.

Happy Friday!!

So glad its nearly the weekend again! Isn’t awful how we wish our lives away waiting for the weekend!! I hope you have lots of lovely things planned. I will be seeing my sister and nephew tomorrow which will be fun! Am hoping to find time to play in my craft room so I can try out all my new purchases from last week!

I made another circular card which I thought was great for this image. I have used Go for Goal which you can get here for rubber and here for digi. I have coloured him in Arsenal colours of course (well sort of!). I can’t remember where the football paper is from but I have used that with some paper from my Dots & Stripes pad from Echo Park Metropolitan.

I have been wanting to use one of the new Wryn images at Tiddly Inks for ages. I first saw this image used on Pinky’s blog here and I just had to have it! She is called Wryn New Wings which you can get here. The paper was free in a magazine recently and its from Hot off the Press. I love this paper and have used quite a bit of it recently. Its nice to get a freebie that you actually use! I am afraid I have used my new Cheery Lynn flower die again, you will be sick of seeing it soon!! This time I used some of the paper for my layers and added a cute little brad in the middle. Because the paper is so pretty I didn’t want to use too many more embellishments. I hope you like it.

New Release and Blog Hop

I hope you are all ok!

Its release day at Ladybug Crafts Ink today and we have some fabulous new digi images for you! You have been getting some sneak peaks over the last week and today is the big reveal! To celebrate we are having a blog hop so grab a cuppa as this is a long post!

Here is my card using one of the new images. The new collection is called Floral Delights. None of the DT have seen all the images yet nor the rest of the projects, so we are all as excited as you!

I hope you like it! What do you think of the image?! The inspiration for the layout came from Mary J who has been doing some fab circular cards recently. I have used the new image with some new felt also from the LCI shop, its lush! I have also used my new favourite flower die from Cheery Lynn called Miniature Rose which has lots of layers making it very dimensional. (I have also done these flowers in crepe paper which I will show you soon!)

Back from Yorkshire

Hi Everyone!

Well I made it back safely from Yorkshire! Had a wonderful time meeting up with Lisa and Laurie. Thank you Lisa, Michael and Beth for being such wonderful hosts and looking after us so well!

We had a real crafty weekend meeting up with some blogging buddies, including Christine, Jo, Linda, Suzette, Kath and Linda!! It was wonderful to meet you all!!

New Challenge at Wags 'n Whiskers

Good Morning All!

Well I've got a day of work today so am very happy! I hope you are all well and have some nice plans for the weekend.

I am back today for the new challenge at Wags 'n Whiskers. We have two new members on the Design Team so please pop along and say hi to Crafty Math Chick and Genevieve. So onto our theme this week which is:

"Non-Card (Home Decoration)"

I normally don't mind doing non-card projects but I haven't done anything like this for a while and I really struggled. In the end I altered a door hanger. Here is my project:

The image is "Furry Friends" which you can get here. I really challenged myself with this as I am not at all comfortable colouring animals! I layered the image onto my new Blooming Rosette die from Memory Box and I layered that onto a scalloped Nestie. The swirl is from Magnolia and the white roses are of course mini rolled roses from Die-namics.

First up is a romantic card for all those new romances out there! I have used the Hydrangeas Love Pink and Love Red Textured Solid papers from the paper collection. I love the textured papers in this collection. The image is Tiddly Inks - You Are On My Mind.

My second card is a New Home card. I have used Shabby Polkas Love Pink and Love Pink Textured Solid from the paper collection. The image is from MilkCoffee and is called Whimsical Candy House.

New Challenge at LCI and News!

My post titles must be the most boring ones in blogland!! I can never think of anything exciting to call them!

Anyway, HI! As my post title says I am here today for another challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink! Before I get into the challenge we have some good news. Our 3 Guest Designers - Diane, Catherine and Sally - are now all permanent Ladybugs so pop over and give them some Ladybug love!

I have more exciting news below so keep reading! Firstly the challenge for this week has been set by our lovely Julie and the theme is:

"Loves Me, Loves Me Not"

There is a slight change in the rules going forward. We will be offering two prizes each fortnight. The first is the usual random winner who wins a prize and the second is a random winner who uses a LCI image. So onto my card:

I used one of the new Love and Marriage images, called The Kiss, which you can get as a digi image here. I used a new embossing folder that I got just before Christmas which I thought was lovely with all the hearts! I just added some red felt roses and ribbon. The sentiment is a freebie from a magazine.

So onto the last bit of exciting news! Our next challenge on 14 February will incorporate a NEW RELEASE and a BLOG HOP! Grab the banner below and pop onto your side bar and then wait for the fun to begin on 14 February!

You may even start seeing some sneak previews of the new images before then just to get you in the mood! The images are fabulous, you won't be disappointed!!

Hi All,

I wanted to share a card today that I made over the weekend for the Lili's Little Fairies challenge this week which is Lavender and Lace. I wanted to use some of the new images I have been buying recently and this one is called Summer Daydream:

I really like this colour scheme and was quite pleased with how it turned out. The papers are from Prima Sweet Fairy which I haven't used for a while! Feeling Blue

Good afternoon all

Well I'm not really feeling blue but was in a blue mood when making this card! I have made this card with another Saturated Canary image from Krista Smith. She is called Thank You and you can get her here.

The challenge this week over at Saturated Canary is to use dies/punches so I used my Nestabilities on this card. The swirly corner is from Make It Crafty (I don't know why I don't use this more often) and the paper is from Authentique called Journey. I followed the fab sketch at Quixotic Paperie this month. I hope you like it.

Well I was very good yesterday and only bought a lip gloss!! I had a lovely day though!

Best Day Ever

Happy Weekend Everyone!

I am just getting ready to meet up with some friends, we will be popping into Harrods for a nose round before the sale ends and might end up with a glass of champagne in my hand during the course of the day! Although I probably won't be buying anything as my printer has decided to stop working, ARRGGGHHH, so may have to spend money on a new one. Why does everything happen at once?! Had to spend out a lot of money on the car last week and it is still making a funny noise!

Anyway I am not going to think about that now! Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to the ladies over at Sugar Nellie, I won some candy yesterday after their blog hop! The blog hop was show casing their new Puppy Love images and I am using one of them today:

Can you see the cute little mouse at the bottom of the image! Now I experimented with these colours a bit, not usually my colour but I wanted to use the paper which is from Basic Grey Life of the Party which had lots of little parcels on it which I thought went well. Maybe I shouldn't have used so much yellow!! The image is called Best Day Ever which you can get from Funky Kits here.

Valentines at Wags 'n Whiskers!

Well I'm back again! I've had a busy week on here! Have you got any nice plans for the weekend? I am meeting friends for some shopping in London tomorrow, maybe some lunch as well! I have to be good though after spending so much money on the car earlier in the week.

I have used one of my new LOTV stamps called Never Too Old for Cupcake! The image is so sweet and the sentiment comes with it! I left the card quite plan, I used my Echo Park Dots & Stripes pad again and added some felt flowers, the die is Die-namics Flower & Leaf Trio and the leaf die is from Magnolia. I've used lots of glamour dust on her wings so she really sparkles in real life!

Bows at LCI!

Good Morning!

I hope your week has started well. Its so cold here at the moment! Can't complain though cos its lovely and sunny at the same time!

We have a brand new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink today, where did the last two weeks go!! Anyway, our Sue has set our challenge today, she would like to see:

"Bows"

Sue really is the queen of bows so I wanted to make mine big and bold! Here is my card:

I am very stingy with my ribbon most of the time, so I was breaking out into a cold sweat using this much ribbon on one card!! I think I might just keep the card for myself! The ribbon is of course from Stamping Up and took about 2 hours to get the bow right!

I have used a blue and brown colour combination again which I am really loving at the moment! I have used Original Nikki, the sentiment is from Pollycraft and is perfect for Nikki don't you think! I have used papers from Echo Park Candy Shoppe, Dots & Stripes, I love this pack, I have just bought some more in different colours. I just added some glamour dust and pearls to finish off.

Good Evening All.

Where on earth has the weekend got to, I can't believe its Sunday evening. I haven't really had a very productive day but hey ho, some days are like that!

I have made a card today for the Lili's Little Fairies challenge and this week they want us to use our favourite LOTV stamp. It was a little tricky to pick one as they are all lovely but there is one that I do love to use, here she is:

Happy Friday! I love Friday's, the whole weekend ahead of you, lovely! I hope you have something nice planned.

As I said in my post a couple of days ago, I am determined this year to find the time to use images and make projects just because I want to! I have loved and admired the images from Krista Smith for ages, so you will be seeing a lot more of them this year! Here is my card:

The challenge at Saturated Canary is Clean and Simple so I have tried to keep everything to a minimum! I am not entirely happy with the card and don't think I have done her justice really! I do struggle with clean and simple! I loved colouring her in though, she is called Fashionista and she is just gorgeous!

I have just used some bazzill bling and used my mini rolled rose die and my Magnolia swirl die. Added some glitter and pearls and she was done.

Well I had better get on, Coco wants feeding!

I hope you have had a good day. My blogging buddy Mary J posted a card over the weekend using an image from a new digi stamp company called MilkCoffee Digi Stamps. Well I love anything new so I hoped over to take a look. They have some wonderful little images which you can buy here. They had a wonderful freebie there which I have used today for my card.

Isn't she adorable! I went all pink and girly with her! I teamed her with paper from Echo Park Country Drive pack which I got in the sale from Bunny Zoe, Nikki has some great bits in the sale so do go and take a look. Its so fresh and bright I love it! Hi Everyone,

I hope your weekend is going well. I've just been pottering around today, may take a drive out to the coast tomorrow, if the weather isn't too bad!

I want to try and make cards this year that aren't just DT ones. One of the challenges I want to start entering is the new Lili's Little Fairies. I've got a few LOTV images which I just don't use so thought entering the challenge each week would be a good way of using them! Their challenge this week is New Beginnings. Here is my card:

I have made an engagement card using "The Little Things", the sentiment is also from LOTV. I teamed up with the new MME Love Me paper pack and some Bazzill Bling. I really love the pink and grey colour combination. I distressed the edges and added some lace ribbon.

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a nice gentle week back after the Christmas break.

I have used Nichola which you can get here, isn't she gorgeous. I love colouring her in. I have glittered up her wings of course for some sparkle! I used a cuttlebug swirl embossing folder on some bazzill bling CS and finished off with pearls and another loopy bloom!

Good Morning All

Well, not sure if it is a good morning really, back to work today (yuk!) Also the diet starts today as well (double yuk!) January is very depressing isnt it!!

But, on a brighter note, it is a new challenge over at Ladybug Towers! To ease you in gently we have an easy challenge for you today:

So onto my card:

I have a few new things on my card! I have used Shopping Ruby which was a present to myself before Christmas and hadn't yet used! She is fab, a girl after my own heart! Also new on my card is my Loopy Bloom Die (yes another one!). The pom pom ribbon is also new which you can get from LCI here. And finally the paper was a Christmas present from my fabby friend Lisa! Its from the Born to Shop paper pack from Docrafts which was the perfect match for Ruby! Actually, pretty much everything on this card is new!!! The sentiment is from The Gina which is part of the Shoes 'n Bags collection here.

Happy New Year to you all!

I hope you had an enjoyable evening last night whatever you were up to. I had a good clear up this morning, packed away all the Christmas bits. Its an awful day here today, pouring with rain as I speak! Maybe I need to look up somewhere nice to go on holiday!

I am here today as we have a brand new challenge at Cupcake Craftroom. Its an easy one for you this month - Anything Goes!

I wanted to make up some thank you cards and this is what I came up with:

I used the Soft Whispers collection which you can get here. I printed the Leaves papers in all the different colours in the collection. I added some bazzill bling to matt the paper onto.

The flower is my new loopy bloom die from Die-namics which I got from Dies to Die For. (You will be seeing a lot of these in the next few weeks, I love them!) I made these in different colours of felt which you can get from Ladybug Crafts Ink. The flower is matted onto a Memory Box Woven Circle die.

I then just added some gems and the sentiment is actually a rub on from Bazzill (quick and easy!)

Top Five Favourite Cards 2011 & Sale News

Good afternoon everyone

Can't believe its New Year's Eve already, where has the last week gone. Its been a lovely relaxing week, it will be a bit of a shock to get back to work next week!

I would like to join in with the fun over at Debby's blog with my Top 5 favourite cards of 2011.

I hope you like them, they are in no particular order!

This is using Saturated Canary Nevaeh, I really enjoyed colouring her in and she is all sparkly in real life!

This is using Elizabeth Bell for SCACD Letter to a Friend. This is such a lovely image and I like the pretty paper and ribbon on this card.

This is using Pollycraft Sonny Honeycloud Poetry. I like this because of the colours, I don't normally like using orange but I was very happy with this!

I love the LOTV images so had to include one! This is Its My Party and I liked the colour combination of this card, the image was a great to colour!

My final card is using a Ladybug Crafts Ink image from the Shoes 'n Bags collection. I couldn't pick a top 5 without shoes and bags!

Step Back In Time at MAWTT!

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you all had a great Christmas Day. It went so quickly though! I had a lovely relaxing time, ate way too much and got some lovely gifts from santa!

I haven't really settled back into any crafting yet, which is a bit of a worry! I plan to get back into the craft room tomorrow and hope that I get some inspiration from somewhere!

Luckily I got this card made before Christmas! We have a brand new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times. This challenge will run for 2 weeks so plenty of time to get your entries in! Hazel is our hostess this week and the theme is:

I added some glamour dust, lets face it glamour dust is suitable for any era! I have also added a loop bloom using my new Die-namics Die! I couldn't wait to use this, you wouldn't believe the tantrums I went through to get this!

Good Afternoon Everyone

I hope your day has been good. We had a bit of snow this morning but nothing to speak off, its very cold now though! I have felt quite Christmasy today, its the first time I have so that's nice! I think I have all my cards written and sent now. Although there are always some that you forget so I am sure I will be doing a few more!

I needed to do some quick cards so I grabbed my new Memory Box "Flowering Christmas Tree" which I bought from Tracy at Dies to Die For, and some bazzill bling paper and made the following quick cards.

The photos aren't great are they! I just did a bit of layering to add some colour and then added gems to the tree to make the cards more dimensional. I had a bit of production line going but it was fun! I hope you like them!

Well I had better go and get on with some wrapping. I am determined to get it all day this evening!!

I have had a little break from MAWTT recently, thanks to Hazel and the girls for letting me have some time off! Just got a bit overwhelmed with lots of things going on. But I am back today! We have a new challenge and Hazel is our hostess! The new theme is:

We are sponsored by Robyns Fetish and we were all given some images to use and I have used Kitty Kitty Kat which you can get here.

I wanted to make a Christmas card from Coco (I know, very sad!) so I added the Christmas hat onto the image before printing off. I used some free papers from a magazine a while ago and added some ribbon, pearls and of course the usual felt snowflakes! I think it looks like Coco a little bit!

Good Morning All

I hope everyone is well! Very busy I expect, not long to go now to the big day!

Anyway I am back today for a new challenge at Totally Ladybug Tuesday! Our gorgeous Sue is our wonderful hostess and we have a bingo card for you this week!

So you just need to pick three in a row to use on your card - horizontal, vertical or diagonal. (Or you can go for the full house if you want to, some of our Ladybugs have done just that, although I think they are just after Teacher's Pet this week!)

I have gone for Felt, Flowers and Pearls. Now this should have been a real easy card right? Felt, Flowers, Pearls, I mean I use them on every single card I make. Well the first card I did was thrown in the bin and I just could not get it right after that. It was just one mistake after another and the mojo just left town.

I do love the image though and she is Flower Ruby which you can get here. I love her all glittered up. The flowers are made using my Die-namics Flower and Leaf Trio die and the gorgeous felt is also from Ladybug Crafts here, Kerry has some gorgeous colours, I just can't live without felt now!!

Good Morning!

How are all your Christmas preparations going? I am still trying to get organised. I was busy all day yesterday and am going to write cards today and do some wrapping for the people who I will be seeing next week!

I am still having to make some Christmas cards and here are a couple I did last week:

My mojo has gone missing for a while so I hopped over to my blogging friend Anita to give me some inspiration. I love visiting Anita's blog, there isn't a card of hers that I don't like! I found this card that she did and sort of based my design on this. Thank you Anita for the inspiration!

I used Dexter from Pollycraft. I was asked to make a pink penguin card for someone and I thought I would do the blue to match! I have used my new Memory Box corner die which is gorgeous! I finish off with glamour dust and pearls.

I decided to go for a non-Christmas card today for a change! Here is my card:

I am afraid I don't know what this fold is called but I do love doing these as you can frame the main image really well! I have used Toby's Big Day which you can get here, he is so sweet! The paper pack is MME - Lime Twist - Fly A Kite. I printed the image a couple of times in different sizes and cut out the presents to use on the frame. I then stamped out some balloons from my LCI Birthday Cake Robyn stamp and used them to tumble down the frame. I used lots of glitter and the main balloon has been GA'd. The sentiment is from Stamping Up.

What a great challenge! Along with the new challenge we have a brand new Stamp of The Month which all the DT have used for this challenge, (I love SOTM week!). Here is my card:

The SOTM is Tom and Snowman, isn't it cute! Really easy to colour and perfect for those last minute Christmas cards! You can get him here and he is half price for the whole month of December!

I wanted to go with alternative Christmas colours so I went with Pinks and Blues. The papers are from Christmas Joy from First Edition. The felt is also from LCI. The die is from Memory Box (loving their dies!!) and the ribbon is from my stash. There is so much glitter on this card it really sparkles although it doesn't really show up! I enjoyed making this card!

Another Project from Craft Retreat

Good Afternoon Everyone

I hope you are having a great weekend, its so depressing how quickly they go by. I saw my nephew yesterday which was fun, he is getting bigger every time I see him. He goes to secondary school next September so he was telling me all about the schools he has applied to. He was also running through his lines and dance routine for his part in the Christmas school play!

I thought I would post another project which I did at the Rosemary Merry craft retreat I went to in November. Its a photo book which we covered with some gorgeous paper from Graphic 45 - Christmas Emporium Collection (its beautiful). There are spaces for the photos to be added. Be warned there are lots of photos!

The whole book was decorated with elements of the paper pack, all the postcards were cut out. The edges were all distressed and inked. It was hard to photograph this so I hope you get a sense of what it looks like! I have given this project to my mum as she loved it so much!
