Pink & Sparkle

Hi everyone

Hope you have all had a great day.  Its the weekend, yah!!  Well, have not stopped today, flying out early tomorrow so had to get everything sorted today.  I wouldn't mind but I'm only going for 5 days! Coco will be dropped off at mum's in the morning, her bag is already packed!

I didn't think I would have a chance to do a last card before I went but I managed to get one done, phew!  I've had my eye on the digi stamps from Bugaboo Stamps, they are so cool!  I've used just pink and black and lots of sparkle and gems!  I've also used a ribbon from Chanel - ooh, how posh am I!  What do you think?

I used some shoe background paper which I've had for ages and not used.

Birthday Boy

Hi All

Well its certainly be a very pink and girly day on the blogs this morning!  I'm afraid I am going blue and boyish with a card for my nephew!  I thought the image was quite cute, its a digi image from Bunny Zoe's Craft.  Its very simple again but I promise I will try and do something a bit different next time! 

I used paper in my store with ribbon and buttons.  I used glitter around the edge of the frame and on the candles.  I also used glossy accents on the star and the candle sticks.  Promarkers used were: Arctic Blue, Blush, Henna, Dusky Rose, Midnight Blue, Apple.

Shopping Nikki

Hi Everyone

I hope you have having a good day, back to work but only in this week then off to Florence on Saturday, woo hoo!! 

After yesterday's horrible card I decided to stay simple and to be honest just working with Nikki stamps you just don't need much else and I feel happy just working with them! 

I like the colours on this and the spotty paper which is My Mind's Eye.

Hi Everyone

Well, what a busy week.  It was my birthday last Wednesday and its been busy, busy, busy since then.  Meeting up with lovely friends and have had lovely gifts and cards.  I've only had chance today to sit down and make a card.  I'm hoping to do a couple more but the first is a thank you card.  I am going to have to make a few more of these to send out to friends this week. 

I have to say though that I don't think that I like this card.  It dont know whether its the colours, the way it was put together or whether its just because the card is rubbish!

Martini Nikki

Hi All

I thought that I would do a Nikki card today in honor of the Ladybug Blog Hop tomorrow!  I love Martini Nikki, I think its my favourite!  I had in mind her sitting in a very up market London night spot when I was putting it together! I was putting it together and didnt stick anything down until I was happy.  Stuck it down, put it together and then looked back at it and thought I should have put a silver mirri mat between the image and the black mat.  I hate it when that happens!  Let me know what you think.

Christmas Robin

Hi Everyone

Where has today gone?  Sunday's always go by quickly :-(  I've had a relaxing day, had a walk earlier, the sun is shining here so need to make the most of it before the autumn really kicks in!

I've made a card today using the free download from Pink Gem and I will be entering it in the Pink Gem challenge 8 this week.  Its the first time I've followed a sketch.  I had a lot of fun doing it.  I hope you like it.  Also entering into the Sarah Hurley Snowflake challenge (thanks Lisa Jane!)

I decided not to go for Christmas reds and greens, but my favourite lilac, mint green and various shades of pink. As always, thoughts and comments would be very much welcome.

Lunchtime!

Hi everyone!

Well its not quite lunchtime yet but it is for one of the characters on this card!  When I first saw this image it made me laugh, who will get their lunch first!  Colouring animal fur makes me nervous and I did this image twice, still don't think its right but it will have to do! What do you think of it?

New York Style

Good morning everyone

Mary thank you so much for your comments and advice.  I really do appreciate it.  The more I look at other bloggers the more I find and there is a whole world out there that I didnt realise existed!  You could spend all day just looking at other blogs.  I'm just in awe of all the fabulous crafters out there. 

I've done another birthday card today.  I'm happer with this than the previous ones.  I've used a stamp that I love and have had for ages and don't actually use.  I've just used some black and white card that I had in my stock, some red ribbon and fancy brads.  There is some dimension to this card although you can't see it from the photos! 

I'm happy with my colouring this time using promarkers.  I did colour the image twice, the first time I used the blender and it just looked like the pens had bled, it just looked awful.  So tried a second time and just blended with the different colours. 

If anyone has any comments on how I could have done this card differently or how I could have just taken it up a level I really would love to hear them. 

Anyway, I had better go and feed Coco.  She keeps walking across the PC and she was throwing herself across my card whilst I was trying to put the card together.  I think she is trying to tell me something!
