Sunny Sunday

Well its lovely and sunny here today!  I hope your weekend is going ok. I managed to get a couple of cards done yesterday.  I want to share this one which is using one of my new gorguss girls stamps - just a girl.

I kept with browns and creams, using MME dotty paper and some bazzill cardstock.  The sentiment is from Ladybug Crafts Ink.  The inside is decorated with the same spotty paper but it didnt photograph well.  Just some pearls and ribbon to finish it off.

Ladybug Crafts Ink - Blog Hop Reminder!

Hi All

I hope you have lots of lovely things planned for the weekend.  Its miserable and raining here so may as well stay at my craft desk!  I wanted to share with you today the two cards that I made for the new release at Ladybug Crafts Ink and which didn't meet the challenge on Totally Ladybug Tuesday.

She is called Phoebe and she is so lovely to work with.  My first card I used papers from MME - Fine and Dandy, and put together with some Bazzill Bling.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set as are the parcels on the inside.

The second is using Kaisercraft - Magic Happens papers (from Merly Impressions) and I've used the parcels on the front of the card this time so they are tumbling down.  Again another one of the sentiments.  The parcels are great because you can use them like I have or you can stamp out backgrounds so the whole set is so versatile.

I also just wanted to remind you about the Blog Hop over at the Ladybug Challenge Blog.  Grab the banner below as you still have time to take part!  You can win all the new releases which is a fantastic prize.  Also don't forget you can also take part in this week's challenge for a second chance to win a fab prize!
The stamps won't be available until mid March BUT you can pre-order them here now at a special price of £5.99 until 8th March.

MAWTT - Fashion!!

Good morning all,

Its my turn to set the challenge today over at Moving Along with The TimesI decided to go with the theme of "Fashion" as its been London Fashion Week here this week.  I can't wait to see your projects, it will be fun!  Here is what I came up with.

I love the style of this era so I really liked the look of this card, I cut out the image and laid it over the ribbon which is my favourite at the moment.  I really liked these colours together as well.  I did a second card which is a bit more up to date!

Both of these stamps are from Rubber Romance and the papers are from the new MME paper packs.  I paper pieced the bags which I haven't tried before but think it looks great so will be doing it again!!

We are sponsored this week by Crafty Emma's Store and the prize for the winner is a set of four charms. Pop over to the store to see what goodies she has on offer just now. Great items just in including New Fizzy Moon Stamps, Papers and Blooms, Also The Whiff Of Joy March releases are available on Pre Order.
Please go along to the main challenge blog to check out all the other DT projects which look amazing and I hope you can join us this week.

TLT and Blog Hop!!

Good Morning!

Another Tuesday morning means another TLT but today is extra special as we have a blog hop!!  You may want to get a cup of tea and biscuit first!

The blog hop is to celebrate the release of some new stamps from the lovely Kerry.  You will love them all!  The blog hop details are further down but first the challenge this week which has been set by our lovely GD Domi:

3 flowers, 2 papers, 1 image

I was given Phoebe to play with and this is what I came up with:

I used Kraft CS as my base and used Bo Bunny DP with some Bazzill.  I made the flowers from the DP with my Die-namics dies and used my Martha Stewart punch down the side of the card.  On the inside you will see 3 little parcels which is part of the stamp set together with 3 sentiments, I have used one on the front.  She is gorgeous isnt she!!  I loved using her, so much so that I made two other cards as well which I will share with you later in the week! (Actually the truth is I didn't follow the challenge at all with my first two cards so had to do it again, oops!  But I did love using her which is just as well!)

So onto the rules of the Hop:

a) Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts.

b) There will be a NUMBER on each of the DT's blogs - note these down! At the end of the hop add up all the numbers you have collected and then email us at lcichallengeblog@aol.com with the grand total.

c) Display the blog hop banner which is on my side bar, either in a post or on your side bar.

The First Prize is all 4 images in the new release and there are 4 runner up prizes of one new image each. Winners will be chosen at random!

The hop will close 9am GMT on Monday 28th FEB and the winner will be announced at 9am GMT on Tuesday 1st MARCH.

The stamps won't be available until mid March BUT you can pre-order them here now at a special price of £5.99 until 8th March.

So you should have arrived here from Pinky's blog. If you haven't then you need to go back to the Ladybug Challenge Blog to start from the beginning. After me you need to go over to Sue's blog.

You need to collect a number from me which is 11.  I hope you are good at maths!!

I think that it is, hope I haven't forgotten anything otherwise Deputy LadyBug Lisa will get her whip out!

Enjoy the blog hop, I hope you love the new images, and I can't wait to see your creations with the challenge this week.

Relaxing with a Beer!

Sunday morning, lovely, am still in bed as I type this!  Mind you it looks pretty miserable outside so I may stay here a while longer!

I made a card the other day for my mum's partner Baz.  He was a having a well earned day off on Friday just chilling, reading the paper and having a beer. I decided to send him a card to celebrate this and I got this image from Digistamp Boutique which was just perfect!
I used my new MME paper pack which I am loving at the moment, you can get these and loads more from the lovely Hayley at the Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn.  I also used my new square nesties and some twine down the left hand side.  I left the hair white on purpose so it was the same as the recipients! (Sorry Baz!)

Don't forget the blog hop over at Ladybug Crafts next Tuesday.  Grab the banner below for your sidebar and pop along to the challenge blog to join in the fun and a chance to win prizes!

MAWTT - For a girl but not a card!

Good morning to you all

I hope you are ok and are having a good week.  We have a new challenge for you over at Moving Along With The Times and this week the super talented Brenda would like to see a "project for a girl - but not a card"

We were given some images to use this week from our Sponsor Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and when I saw them I knew I had to use the new Kaisercraft "Magic Happens" papers which you can buy from the lovely Chrissie at Merly Impressions.  Here is my project.
To go with the theme I decided to alter a wooden photo frame which I painted up and covered with the Kaisercraft paper.  I think the image works so well with this.  Just need to add a photo now!

As I mentioned our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and they are offering the winner of our challenge 5 digital stamps or digital paper sets of their choice.  How cool is that!

Please go and have a loook at the great projects by the DT this week and I am looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Anything but a Card!!

Good morning

I hope you all had good weekends.  I went to Brighton for the day with some friends on Saturday and had a great time.  The weather was lovely and sunny, we even had a walk along the pier!  I resisted an ice cream though, bit cold for that!

Its another challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink and today is the uber talented Mary J who has set the challenge.  She would like to see "Anything BUT a Card".  Love it!!

I had a couple of wooden door hangers in my stash so I decided to alter one of these.  It was really tricky to take a photo of it but I hope you get the general idea!

I painted in pink Eco-Green paint and then covered with My Minds Eye paper (can't remember the name sorry but its lush!).  Added some pearls all the way around the hanger and made some flowers with the scraps.  The ribbon is from Anna Griffin and matched perfectly.  I used "Day Off Ruby" which you can get here, I thought this was perfect for the hanger as it means "go away I am having some me time"!!  I hope you like it.

I cannot wait to see all your creations, I really love these sort of challenges!!  Please do go and check out the other fantastic creations by the mega talented team, you won't be disappointed!

Next week will be super exciting, we will be having a blog hop to celebrate the release of some new fabulous images!  Please grab the banner below and make sure you check in again this time next week for a chance to win!!!

Love is in the Air at Ladybug Crafts!

Good morning!

Well at least Monday is out of the way, the worst day of the week I think!  So its Tuesday and a brand new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink!  Thanks to everyone who entered Pinky's challenge last week, there were some wonderful cards.  This week its Hayley's challenge and the theme is "Love is in the Air".  An easy one for this time of the year!  Here is my card:

I love daydreaming Ruby and thought she would be perfect for the theme, sitting, daydreaming about her special person!  What is the male equivalent of a fairy (and no, I don't mean Louie Spence!!)

I had a paper pack from Paper Mania which I have had forever and never used.  I really liked this design and I didnt want to hide too much of it as it went with the look I was after which was floating hearts.  I cut Ruby away from her log which she normally sits on, and perched her on a nestie.  I only did a small strip of matting and then added some gems and glitter (which you can't really see).  I found the lovely heart embellishments in my stash which worked so well.  Do you like it?

Please do go along to see the other fantastic DT projects and join in the fun.  Its an easy one this week so we hope to see LOTS of entries!

Curtain Call 68

Good Evening Everyone

I hope you have all had a lovely relaxing weekend. I made a card today using the Curtain Call Colour Challenge 68.
I was lucky enough a couple of weeks ago to win a gift voucher from Quixotic Paperie.  They have some fanastic stuff and one of the things I bought was a Krafting Kimmie stamp called Eleanor. Lovely summer beach image and it was lovely to do this to today when it was so windy and grey outside!

I just used some Bo Bunny dotty paper and some bazzill bling. A bit of ribbon and bling to finish it off. I used the sketch at Truly Scrumptious, which uses lots of layers which was great to do.

Don't forget to pop back on Tuesday morning for Totally Ladybuy Tuesday for our fun new challenge.

Coffee Break

Good evening all

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday.  I've had a nice one so far.  I did a couple of DT projects this morning, I struggled with them a bit, only because I just can't seem to think what to do.  I hate it when that happens.

I left my laptop open by my printer whilst I was crafting and Coco managed to walk over it and break one of the keys, which now won't work properly.  Luckily its one of the numbers which is not used as much!

I made a card last week with an image that my lovely blog friend Mary J sent me.  She has sent me a few images which she thought I might like which was lovely of her.  Thanks Mary.

The image is from mftstamps and this one is Miss You a Latte.  I think they are really fun.  I used some My Minds Eye paper and my Martha Stewart punch.  A bit of glitter and glossy accents to finish it off.  I love pink and chocolate together.

Hi all, hope you are all well.

Thursday means another challenge over at MAWTT and today its my challenge!!  This is my first ever challenge so I hope you can join in!

This week I have picked a theme to celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year today. The theme is:

"RED"

Red is associated with luck and during the New Year celebrations doors and windows in homes are newly painted in red in preparation. Red is worn to ward off evil spirits, and on the day itself red packets are given to children which contain money.

We are sponsored this week by Stitchy Bear Images

and they are offering

TLT - Card for a Child!

ood morning!

I love Tuesdays, it just means one thing - Totally Ladybug Tuesday!  This week its Pinky's challenge and its "Card for a Child".  I decided to go for Cheeky Jack

Some fab Bo Bunny paper (I love this paper) from the lovely Hayley and some bazzill on Kraft CS.  Now this card is a little different because I turned the image into a fridge magnet.  So you can just peel Jack off and stick him onto your fridge.  A gift as well as a card! Here he is on my fridge!

I've been wanting to try this for a while.  It turned out ok but I can certainly develop this a bit more.  Once coloured I stuck the image onto a piece of self adhesive magnetic sheet.  Then I covered the whole image with a glaze.  (I didnt use glossy accents but this works just as well.)  I cut two pieces of the magnetic sheet and stuck that on the card so the image has something to stick to whilst on the card.

Hope you like it.  Please go and check out the other fabulous cards on the LCI challenge blog and please join in the fun this week.

I am going to enter into the following challenges:
Enjoy the rest of your day.
