Make Mine A Latte

Good morning all,

Well I hope you all enjoyed watching the wedding yesterday, I loved seeing all the outfits (good and bad!) and the dress!

I managed to make a card yesterday in between watching the TV.  I recently bought some new stamps and one of them was this image - Elisabeth Bell for SCAD - Latte - which you can get here at Quixotic Paperie. Here is what I did.

I've used paper from MME, the border is a punch from Martha Stewart.  The gorgeous ribbon and the felt from the flowers is from Ladybug Crafts Ink.  (Don't forget you can still get join in the blog hop over at the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog!)

I would like to enter into the following challenges:
I hope you enjoy your Saturday. See you soon.

Blog Hop at Totally Ladybug Tuesday!!

Well I am way beyond excited today! Its TLT Blog Hop day! We are having a blog hop today to celebrate the release of Kerry's new stamps and they are just FAB U LOUS!!  I am not sure where to start first!!  There is so much to say and lots of chances to win a prize!!  You had better grab a cuppa and a biscuit, this is a long one!

There are 2 ways to win a prize this week.  First is to do the blog hop (full details below) and the second is to follow the theme, and this week the theme is FASHION.  For the very brave you can do both!!

We were all given one of the new images to use and I have to say I love the one I was given. It is so me and I will get a lot of use out of it!!  Here is my project!

Don't you just love the image?! The sentiment says "Kick up your heels and have a Happy Birthday" I have used MME paper with SU ribbon. I added little dots to the shoes to match the paper, they are so cute!  And do you notice that my shoes have the red soles!!  Well... I couldn't stop once I had started playing so I made a second project!

I had a Kaisercraft shopping bag which I thought was perfect.  I bought this from Merly Impressions here.  I painted the bag and added some Bo Bunny paper.  The ribbon and felt for the flowers are also from LCI here.  Don't you just love that sentiment?! This is also in the stamp set.  I decided to keep this for myself and it is now sitting in my bedroom!

OK so onto the details of the hop:
  • Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts.
  • Leave a comment on the challenge blog once you have finished the hop.
  • Display the blog hop banner which is on my side bar post on your blog, either in a post or on your side bar.
The First Prize is all 4 images in the new release and there will be 4 Runner up prizes of one new image each.  Please go along to the Challenge Blog for more details.

I am the first stop on the hop.  You now need to hop along to Hayley.  If you get lost go back to the Challenge Blog and start again.

We have an extra special guest on the hop today.  None other than The Spotted Chick herself!! Yep Jeanie is joining us today, how EXCITING is that!!!

All the stamps are now available from Ladybug Crafts Ink at a special discount price of £5.50 until Monday 2 May.

PHEW! I think that is about it.  I hope I havent forgotten anything!  Don't forget you can win by either doing the blog hop or just doing the challenge (or both!)

I hope you have a lot of fun and leave lots of Ladybug Love for all the DT.  We haven't seen any of each other's projects either so I am off now to take a look!!

Vintage at Pollycraft!

Good evening all

I really wanted to enter the challenge at Pollycraft Monday, I really love the images over there!  I have just got in by the skin of my teeth though!

The challenge is a sketch (below) and a vintage theme. I used Cherry Kisses - Tea in the 20s.  I teamed her with some free Nit Wit paper in Simply Homemade magazine this month. I thought it had a lovely vintage feel. I added some fabulous ribbon which you can get from Ladybug Crafts Ink along with the felt that I made the rolled rose with.
I think I should have added a sentiment now, it looks a bit bear but I can do that later. I really liked doing this card, they are my favourite colours and I love the image.

So I am entering into Pollycraft Monday and also That's Krafty Thursday over at the Spotted Chick.

Thats it from me. Speak soon.

**Happy Easter**

Happy Easter Everyone!
Have a lovely day

Its still lovely and sunny here today, although we did have some thunder and rain yesterday afternoon!  I was treated to a lovely lunch in London by a very close friend.  The food was yummy and had a glass or two of champagne! It was lovely and managed to get home before the rain started!

I have a card for you today for a girl in work who is leaving to have a baby.  To be honest I really do not like this card.  I tackled it several times but it just wasn't working for me. Here is the card:

The image is Stamping Bella (thanks Mary J), and the paper is Basic Grey Hopscotch.  I added some liquid pearls and the border punch is Martha Stewart.

I followed the sketch at Mojo Monday

and I also wanted to enter into the Some Odd Girl Challenge - Mom Themed but I think this is just for digis?!  I will enter anyway but if its not allowed then delete it!!

Enjoy your Easter Sunday.

We have a new challenge at MAWTT this week.  The Birthday Girl is our host this week and as its Earth Day tomorrow we thought we would reflect this in a our theme this week which is:

"Recycle"

We are sponsored this week by the fabby Ladybug Crafts Ink and Kerry is offering the winner one stamp of their choice.
LCI Online Store
So onto my project.  I had a box which contained a gift card and I kept it with the aim of altering at some point, so I finally got around to doing it!  So this is what it looked like when I started:
I then covered the whole thing with Kraft card and inked up
the edges:
And it finally turned out like this:

I covered with Fancy Pants - Its the Little Things paper and added all the bits and bobs.  I used Cheeky Jack from LCI which you can get here.  The buttons are recycled from my mum who has collected buttons for years and the cream card is used from an old card that went wrong!

I hope you like it.  Please go along to the challenge blog and check out all the other DT projects which are fab!

Anything Goes at Ladybug Crafts

Hello there!

Is your week going ok so far?  Its a short week and a long bank holiday yippee!  Its Totally Ladybug Tuesday of course and we have some exciting news for you this week!  Keep reading for the news but first our new challenge and we have a nice and easy one for you this week
"Anything Goes"!!
So just go for it this week! We look forward to seeing all your projects.  Here is my card:

At my recent craft weekend we did a couple of projects using acetate.  Now I am a bit nervous about using acetate but I think it does look effective, so I thought I would give it a go this week!

I've used some of the fabulous paper from The Girls' Paperie Kitch collection (I can't believe I only bought one sheet of each!!)  I've layered with some bazzill bling on the inside of the acetate and I have then cut out some of the bunting and added this with some bakers twine to the front of the acetate.

I have used Cupcake Cutie - Make A Wish from LCI here and layered a nestie on the back of the inside, so basically all the glue is hidden.

On the back is some plain cream card where you can write your message. I've done some paper piecing for her dress and cupcake case, fluffy stuff and glitter for the cupcake icing.

Please go to the challenge blog to see all the other fabulous projects from the DT, and also see if you are a winner from last week's celebration challenge.

So to the exciting news! Kerry will very shortly be releasing some new designs and to celebrate we will be having a blog hop next week!!  So grab the banner below, stick it onto your side bar and check back next week to join in all the fun!  You will love the new releases!
I will be entering my card into the following challenges this week:

I think thats it from me today. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Take care

How is your weekend going?  I had to make a couple of birthday cards today.  The first of which is below.  I will post the second one later in the week.

I love it.  The ribbon is from American Craft and I won a selection of this at my craft weekend last week.  Its gorgeous. I've added some liquid pearls to the necklace and some glitter.  I distressed the edges a little bit as well.

I would like to enter into the following challenges:
Well thats it for now. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday evening.

Chocolate Time at MAWTT!

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all well on this Thursday morning.  Nearly the weekend again!  We have another challenge over at Moving Along With The Times today.  The lovely Laurie is the hostess with the mostess this week and she would like to see:

"Any Kind of Chocolate"

So as long as we see any kind of chocolate brown on your card that will be fine!

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and they are offering a $10 voucher for the winner.

We were kindly given some digi stamps for our projects and I have used Floppy Latte Time for Tea

I can't for the life of me remember where the paper is from but it is lovely, very textured.  The border stamp is a new one I bought a couple of weeks ago and is EK Success.  The ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Ink

So I hope you get a chance to play along this week.  Please do go and check out the other DT projects.  We also have some new team members joining us and they are Kitty, Val, Sylvia and Debs.  Welcome ladies!!  Its great to have you join the team.

Well thats it from me for now!
