Some Photos - Gidleigh Park

Hi Everyone

I hope you are enjoying your bank holiday.  This is a quick one from me, I have spent the last 2 hours in front of the PC lining up posts for the next few days!
I wanted to share some photos from my weekend away at Gidleigh Park.  It really is a beautiful, amazing place and we felt very lucky that we were able to go and spend time there.  You are so secluded that the rest of the crap going on in the world just doesn't exist.

Thomas The Cat

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are all ok.
I have had a busy week at work but am pleased to say I am on leave from work today!  Am going away for the weekend to celebrate a big birthday with someone special!  Not my birthday I hasten to add!  We are going to Gidleigh Park which is a gorgeous place in Devon and, anyone who is into their food will know, that the Chef Michael Caines has his two Michelin star restaurant there!  Cannot wait!  It will be very relaxing!

So here is my card for today using one of the many pre-coloured images from LOTV that I have in my drawer!

This is Thomas the Cat from a sheet of pre-coloured images from LOTV.  I thought the image was good for a guy who likes cats!  The paper is from MME Six by Six - Life of the Party - love this pack.  I have used my favourite La La Land Heart Banner Die and
Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Stax.  I just added some pearls and a little glamour dust.  Quite simple but I like it!

Hopefully I will get some nice photos and will share them when I get back.  Enjoy your weekend and I will see you soon!

Wee Stamps - Peggy

Good Afternoon Everyone

I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.  We have had a bit of sun but its cold and grey now :-(

I had some time yesterday to colour up an image and I decided to use of the beautiful images from Sylvia Zet, this sweet image is called Peggy.

You can get her as a digi from Wee Stamps or as a stamp from Hobby House.  I coloured her with copics and prisma pencils.  The paper is from Maja Designs - Vintage Spring Basics and the swirl is from Cheery Lynn - Mini Fanciful Flourish, both of which you can get from Dies to Die For.  I have then just added some flowers, glamour dust and pearls.  I also added some flower gems from the Hobby House to her basket to give the flowers some 3D.
I apologise for the "yellow" tinge to the photo, I need to get a new lamp for my desk, seeing as we don't seem to be getting much natural sunlight at the moment!

That's it from me today.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, I can't believe its gone so quickly!

Take care and speak to you soon.

Love and Hugs

I survived the move!

Good Evening Everyone!

Just thought I would check in quickly to let you know that I survived the move on Friday and I am now pretty much set up in my new "interim" home! It was a very long, exhausting and emotional day on Friday but got everything to my new place ok.  I didn't sleep much that night and was up at 6am on Saturday to start unpacking my bits.  A lot of my stuff is staying in the garage until my final move.  However, I have got a brand new craft room set up which was finished yesterday!  Its lovely, and overlooks the garden and has the afternoon and evening sun!   I want to thank "Guesty" who has done everything he can to make me feel welcome and happy!

So anyway, I thought I would make a quick card in my new room!  Because I haven't had a lot of time I used a pre-coloured image from the Hobby House.  Here is my card:

All have of this card has been made using the Hobby House Wee Card Making Kit (which was featured on Create & Craft).  The image is Spring Bringer from Sylvia Zet, Wee Stamps.  So pretty and I added lots of glamour dust.  The papers are Spring Hearts and Spring Damask which can be bought separately.  I added some gorgeous pearl swirls and pearl charm which I bought at the Ally Pally show and some mulberry flowers to finish.  As I say, everything apart from the pearl charm is from the kit!  Gorgeous don't you think!

Right that is all I have time for now but I normal service will be resumed this week, thank goodness!

Love and Hugs

Stamp/Image - Spring Bringer - Sylvia Zet - Wee Stamps (precoloured image);

New Challenge at the Sugar Bowl

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY MAWTT POST

Hi Again!

Before I get onto my next card I just want to apologise for being such a bad blogger recently.  I have spent most of my time packing, sorting, speaking to solicitors, taking trips to the tip, etc, etc!  Moving day is tomorrow and I am packing up my final bits today, including my craft room!  Once I am settled again I will make time to come round and see you all.  I do appreciate you all visiting me and leaving comments, especially when I don't get a chance to come back and see you all.

So onto my card for the new Sugar Bowl challenge.  Remember the theme is:

"Anything Goes"

BUT you must remember to use a Sugar Nellie image.  Check out Funky Kits who have all the Sugar Nellie sweetness for you to buy!  Here is my card:

I have used the gorgeous Lolitta which you can get here from Funky Kits.  This is the first time I have coloured her up, I loved doing her hair!  The papers are Vintage Marketplace from Bazzill Basics and I have just added some mulberry flowers and pearls from The Hobby House. The die is from Cheery Lynn - Mini Fanciful Flourish.

You now need to pop on over to the Sugar Bowl challenge blog for more gorgeous inspiration and also to say goodbye to Erika who, very sadly, is stepping down from the Design Team.

OK, that is it from me today.  Am off to finish off my packing.  I will see you on the other side!  Have a great day.

One for the Guys at MAWTT

Good Morning All

Another week has flown by and we have a brand new challenge starting over at Moving Along with The Times.  Today's challenge has been set by our gorgeous Carole and the theme is:

"One For the Guys"

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Jo Channon at Let's Create.

I haven't done a male card for ages, its shocking!  Luckily I had a card that I made last year at a colouring class held at Crafts U Love by Jacqui at Cats Whiskers. So thought it would be perfect to show for this theme.  Here it is:

So Jacqui came up with the design and layout, we just had a good play colouring! It was a lot of fun.  The image is Art Impressions - Peter (Front & Back) and Fence (Front & Back).  It was tricky to stamp the images to sit just in the right position on the fence. I think I did ok with this one!  We did a similar one which I posted a few months ago with cute little girls.  Anyway, I used my copics and prisma pencils to colour, I haven't got a record of the colours I am afraid.  We used black to shade which I am always a little nervous about doing.

So that's my card.  Please pop on across to the MAWTT challenge blog to see what everyone else has been up to!  I hope you can join us this week!

I will be back shortly with my card for the new challenge at the Sugar Bowl.

See you soon
Love and Hugs
