Here Comes Summer at MAWTT!

Happy Thursday All!
Hope your week has been going ok.
So Thursday means another challenge over at Moving Along With The Times.

The gorgeous Lisa is the hostess this week and the challenge is:
"Here Comes Summer"

Well at least the weather here in the UK is a bit more like summer now!!

We are being sponsored by Lisa's very talented daughter Beth who has her own online digi store called Squidgi Digi

Grab the badge to display on your blog

She is super talented so make sure you pop along to her store to check out her images.

For my project today I have used "Beach Huts" which you can get here.

Whenever I see beach huts like this it makes me think of France and the drive from Calais to Le Touquet.  We used to drive along the beach road so you drive through all the little towns.  They all have beach huts like this along the beaches and they are all different colours.

I used the huts to create a scene for the La La Land Image called "Beach Marci" which you can get here.  She is perfect for the beach huts isn't she!  The paper is from My Minds Eye and the ribbon and sentiment are from Ladybug Crafts Ink. I coloured with my copics and prisma pencils.  I added a little bit of glitter and put some gems on the doors for handles!

So head on over to the challenge blog to see all the other DT projects and I hope you can join in the fun this week!

Thats it from me today

Ladybug Crafts Ink Christmas Blog Hop!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Well ok not for another 6 months but it is the Ladybug Crafts Ink Christmas Blog Hop!  Woohoo!!  Its so exciting!  Grab a cuppa this is a long one!

We are having a blog hop today to celebrate the release of a brand new set of Christmas Stamps from the fabulous Kerry!  There are 4 stamp sets in total and you will LOVE them all! There will be lots of chances to win a prize but more of that later.

First of all you should have arrived here from the gorgeous Tams. To start from the beginning head back to the Challenge blog.  After me you need to head over to the fabulous Anita.

I was given "Sledding Fun" to play with and boy I had a lot of fun! The inspiration for my projects today came from the Rosemary Merry retreat I did back in April.  This is my first:

It was pretty difficult to photograph this but I hope you get the sense of it. Not sure what you call it!  I layered up my card and then made a pocket for all my tags to add to the centre of the card. The pocket is made from several pieces of thick card which I made leaving 3 openings for the tags. You could leave secret messages on these if you wish!  Then I added one of the sentiments from the stamp set and then of course the image.

So a blog hop wouldnt be complete without a second project from me!  Here it is:

I had a whole other project lined up!  I was doing a small canvas project but it all went wrong at the last minute!  So did this Christms notebook instead, which does look much better in real life!

I hope you like both of my projects! I had a lot of fun making them.  None of the DT have seen each other's projects so I can't wait to see what everyone else has done! So now, onto the details!

The first chance you have of winning a prize is by doing the hop.  Here are the rules:
  • Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts.
  • Leave a comment on the challenge blog stating which is your most favourite of the new images once you have finished the hop.
  • Display the blog hop banner (which is on my side bar) on your blog, either in a post or on your side bar.
The First Prize is the full set of all 4 stamps and then 5 runners up will receive one stamp of their choice from the new release. Winner and runners up will be chosen at random!

The second chance of winning a prize is to take part in the challenge this week is has been set by the uber talented Amanda and it is:

"Christmas in June"

So you have 2 ways to win a prize .. you can just play along with the hop or enter the challenge .. and for the brave you can do both!

And if you don't win.. you can still enjoy the stamps at a discount price as the stamps will be on sale from today from the LCI Store for £5.50 ( Normal RRP £6.50) till 5th July.

Phew!  Are you still with me!  I hope I haven't forgotten anything otherwise Lisa will be on the warpath!  Don't forget you now need to head over to Anita.
Have lots of fun!
Love

A Tasty Read!

Hi All

What a glorious Sunday it is here in Kent.  I hope you are having a great weekend whatever you are up to.

I have been busy trying to get ahead with all my DT projects, I am a card making machine at the moment!  But I was determined just to make a card for me today which is what I have done!  Here she is:

I downloaded some of the fabulous Elizabeth Bell digi images a well ago and I just haven't had the time to use them, well I was determined to do one today!  She is called "A Tasty Read" which you can buy from the Elizabeth Bell website here. I hope I have done her justice, she is so lovely. I used the great sketch from Sketch Saturday which I flipped onto its side as I found that easier to work with!

I am off to Henley Royal Regatta on Wednesday so I hope this weather lasts!  I will try and get a photo of myself while I am there in my outfit!  They are very strict on what you wear and I am panicking as the ladies are supposed to wear dresses where the hemline is below the knee, well mine is just on my knee!!  I hope they let me in!

Remember the Ladybug Crafts Ink Blog Hop on Tuesday, it starts at 9am and there will be new releases so please DO NOT MISS IT!  Grab the banner below for your sidebar so you are all ready to go!

Also make sure you rush out and get the latest copy of "Simply Cards and Papercraft", there are some gorgeous LCI free stamps and sentiments! I got mine last week and was so excited!

Well thats it from me today, enjoy the rest of your day.

CAS Style at MAWTT

Happy Thursday All!

Can you believe its another challenge at Moving Along with The Times, where the heck is the time going! Our fabby leader Hazel has set our challenge this week which is:

"Clean and Simple"

I freaked out!  And after a mad email to Lisa to ask what I was allowed and not allowed to do (sorry Lisa!) I came up with this:

I used Cherry Kisses - Adore which you can get here, which i matted onto some red bazzill and just added to some textured card stock, I coloured her with my copics and prismas.  I loved the frame around Cherry Kisses so I decided to follow this theme and doodled around the card (inside and out) to bring it together.  The sentiment is from LCI - Phoebe set here. I then just added some bling in the corners.  I really enjoyed doing this after I got over my initial fear and will certainly be doing some more in this style!

We are sponsored this week by Crafty Emma's Store
who is very kindly offering a £10 gift voucher in store.

Go along and check out the rest of the DT projects, you won't be disappointed!  I am looking forward to seeing all your projects this week!

I would like to enter my card into the challenge over at Copic Creations which is Doodles.

Take care and have a great day.

Summer Loving at Fab 'n' Funky!

Good morning everyone!
Well you don't normally see me on a Wednesday but I am here today with my first project as part of the Fab 'n' Funky DT! Just want to say thank you again to the girls for inviting me onto their team and also to say good luck to my fellow newbies Alexis and Cyndi!

So onto our theme this week which is:
"Summer Loving"
It hasnt felt much like summer in Kent at the moment with all the rain!
We are sponsored this week by "Sassy Cheryl", go and check out the store, she has some great images.  I have used "A Mothers Day Flower", which I thought I had a lovely summery feel about it.  Here is my card:

I really enjoyed colouring in this little lady (I am having so much fun with my new copics and prisma pencils!) I have also realised that I am putting rolled felt flowers on almost all of my projects!  I am sorry if you are getting bored of them, I must be stuck in a rut!

Anyway I hope you like it.  Go and check out the other fabby projects by the lovely Design Team, and I hope you can join in this week.

I would like to enter into:

Seeing Red at Totally Ladybug Tuesday!

Hi guys, hope you are all well.
Tuesday again and another challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink.  Also so exciting news (more of that below!) The lovely Gaelle has set our challenge and she wants to see
"RED"
in your projects!
Here is my card for today (the photos make this look orange but it is red, I promise!)

I bought Roadster Nikki ages ago and hadn't used her (shameful). She was fun to colour in!  The paper is MME and actually has little hearts on it to match the smoke coming from her car!  And I also thought the paper looked like tyre tracks! The ribbon and felt are also available from Ladybug Crafts Ink.

I hope you like her and the rest of the DT projects which you can see here.  I hope you take part this week, can't wait to see your projects!

So on to the exciting news!  Kerry has a new release of Christmas Stamps next week and we will be celebrating with a Blog Hop! Woo Hoo!  So grab the banner below for your side bar and come back next week to join in the fun!
Ok I think thats it from me.  Have a great day and see you tomorrow for my first project for Fab n Funky!

Pollycraft DT Call

Good morning everyone.  Hope your weekend is going well.

You may be aware that I love Pollycraft images (I use them pretty much every week!) They are great images and I usually find one for every occasion I need. Anyway, I have been in a state of high anxiety since I found out they were having a DT call! (Mind you I am in a state of high anxiety most of the time!).

Paula is giving away two images to use for the DT call and this is what I have done:

I love Sonny Honeycloud so this was great fun to work with, I used a sentiment which comes with the Sonny Honeycloud bundle that I bought last week. (You can buy all the images from here).  I teamed her with some MME paper, felt flowers and ribbon from LCI and added some glitter here and there.

The second freebie is Blue's Branch and as I had printed him off as well I couldn't resist,so here he is!

I used MME papers which had a wood/tree effect so was perfect for this.  I decoupaged him and added a sentiment which I did on the PC.

I hope you like them.  I would like to enter into the following challenges:
Thats it from me today, enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Inspired by a Song at MAWTT

Good morning everyone!
Hope your week is going ok, nearly Friday and the weekend!
Its another challenge over at Moving Along with The Times of course and its the gorgeous Laurie setting the challenge today which is:
"Inspired by a Song"
(give your card a song title)
She is just getting her on back on me from last week!  She didnt like the Anything but a Card challenge and I freaked out with this one!  My mind just went blank and I couldnt think of a single thing!  However I was going through my images and one did spring to mind!  Can you guess?

Yep! Singing in the Rain by the uber fabulous Gene Kelly. I just love those old musicals and Gene Kelly was the master!  They just don't make films like that any more!

Anyway, I used Sonny Honeycloud Rainy Days which I think is my favourite range at Pollycraft (mind you I love them all really)!  You can get her here.  I used gorgeous paper from MME which I thought suited the image really well.  Coloured with my new copics and prisma pencils!  I made a little white felt cloud and the ribbon is Ladybug Crafts Ink, which you really should go over and buy, its fabulous!

I hope you like her.  I would like to enter her into the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge this week which is "Splish Splash".  I also used sketch 112 at The Sweet Stop (although this is my second entry so please ignore if this is not allowed).

The other DT projects are awesome so  go and check them out now!

The prize this week is this fabulous Kanban Music & Dance set

Finally, I have some news!  I just wanted to say thank you to the lovely ladies over at Fab n Funky for inviting me to join their Design Team!  I officially start next week and I can't wait to get started with my new teamies!  Hope you can join me over there next Wednesday!

Have a great day

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Numbers!

Good Morning All
Hope your week has started well, at least the sun is out again!
Thanks to everyone for taking part in my challenge at LCI last week, there were some amazing entries.  Pop over to the challenge blog to see if you are a winner!
The gorgeous Tams who is our lovely hostess today and she would like to see
"NUMBERS"
It doesnt have to be an age, as long as there is a number on your project somewhere!
Here is my card:

I apologise for the pants photos, not sure what happened there.  Anyway I made the card for a colleague who is turning 30 tomorrow.  I used Birthday Cake Robyn.  I decoupaged up the balloons (had an incident with some Glossy Accents, hence the decoupage!)  The paper is My Minds Eye, love the bunting on this paper, and added some faux stitching.

The rest of the DT have done an amazing job so go and check them out here. Also don't forget that the megamazing Kerry has some fabby Blog Candy which she is adding to every day!  Check it out below:

Fathers Day (don't look Dad!)

Hi!  How have your weekends been?

I went to a jewellery party yesterday, my neighbour knows someone who makes her own bits so it would have been rude not to have gone along and buy a couple of bits!!  I bought some lovely earrings and necklace, very bling!

I've been very busy getting ahead with all my DT projects, I tried a new system!  I planned all my images, matched them up with papers and then coloured them in.  Then put all the cards together the following day.  I think I managed to get more done this way!

Anyway, eventually got my card made for Fathers Day.  Will have to send it tomorrow as Dad is in Canada.

My super talented Ladybug Teamie Anita is on the DT at Meljens Designs and she used this image a little while ago.  I thought it was perfect for my Dad's card.  You can buy it from Whimsy Stamps here.

I used MME Quite Contrary paper and some Stamping Up ribbon.  I used my new Copics and Prisma Pencils to colour in. I kept it quite simple because the image is the main focus.  I hope you like it.

I would like to thank you all for all your lovely comments and for being a follower.  I absolutely love seeing your comments and having you all enjoy my projects.  Thank you!

I would like to enter into the following challenges:
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Dressing Up!

Happy weekend everyone!
Hope you are all well.  Not sure what I am up to the weekend yet, the weather has been really strange at the moment!  Had a really fierce thunderstorm last night and then 5 minutes later the sun was out!  Weird!

I made a card for a colleague in work, I dug out Dressing Up Marci from La La Land Crafts.  She is so cute!

I love the colour palette of the MME Lime Twist - Happy Go Lucky Pad, I bought mine from Quixotic Paperie, they have loads of fab stuff! I used some liquid pearl on her necklace, centre of her hat and in the corners.

The gorgeous ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Ink as is the sentiment which is from the BFF Set - Phoebe
By the way Kerry has some fabulous blogaversary candy at the moment, she is adding something every day and it will end on 22 July (see the badge on my sidebar!)

I would like to enter into the La La Land Crafts Customer Gallery. I would also like to enter the Paper Shelter which is Celebrate and Divas by Design - Florals.

My computer is now starting to play up and its annoying me so I will head off now!  Have a great day!

Anything But A Card at MAWTT

Hi Everyone!

How is your week going?!  Thursday again can you believe it.  I am having a busy week this week as I am hosting both at LCI and also today at Moving Along With The Times

My theme this week for MAWTT is

"Anything But A Card"

I decided to alter a little post it holder from Kaisercraft which I have had in my stash for ages.  You can get it from Merly Impressions here.

I painted it white with my Eco Green paint and covered with MME paper, inked the edges.  I added some pearls and the flower for decoration.  It is simple but looks lovely and I have it by my phone now!  I am going to take into the office and use it at work!

We are sponsored this week by Crafty Shop

My favourite Craft shop

and they are kindly offering this pack of Christmas stash

Please go along to the challenge blog to read more about them and to see the other gorgeous projects from the DT.

Its About The Guys at TLT!

Hi All! Hope your week is going ok so far!

I had a bit of a heart stopping moment yesterday.  I had been crafting up in my craft room (spare room!) and had left the window open as it was very muggy.  I had popped downstairs and was watching some TV when out of the corner of my eye I saw a white blur go past my kitchen window.  I didnt think anything of it for a few seconds and then realised that I hadnt seen Coco for a while.  I rushed upstairs to the window and was too scared to look out, I was expecting to see a dead cat at the bottom.  (There is a very big drop from my window as there is a flat below me.)  Then I heard a meow at the door.  She had fallen out but somehow survived.  She was a bit grubby and full of leaves from the bush but otherwise ok.  She certainly used up one of her 9 lives yesterday I can tell you.

Anyway, on to the reason why I am here today! I am hosting the challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink and its all about the guys with a "Male Theme".

I have used Cheeky Jack, he is such fun! Here is my card:

For some reason I just couldnt get any decent photos so only one to share today, but as usual I have decorated the inside with the same paper.  The ribbon is from Stamping Up (still love this ribbon!) and guess where the paper is from!!

You will love all my fellow Ladybug projects, they are a super talented bunch, take a look here!  We also have a new GD Julie so pop along and give her some Ladybug Love!!

I am looking forward to seeing your projects!

Thank You Card

Good afternoon all
Hope your weekend is going ok. I hate how they go so quickly.

I had a thank you card to make this week and I thought I would team this with the Pollycraft Challenge this week which is By My Teddy Bear.

I used Cuthbert Balloons which you can get here.

I finally succumed to buying another two MME paper packs from the Twisted Lime collection - Out of the Blue and Fly A Kite which I used on this card. I will add some GA to the balloons which I forgot to do before taking the photos!

I would like to enter into the Pollycraft Challenge and I also used sketch 193 at Mojo Monday.
