Picture Pose

Good Afternoon!

Are you enjoying your Sunday afternoon?  I have had a nice lazy day so far, the sun is sort of out which is nice too!

I made another card today "just because"!  Not for any Design Team!  Its another Sugar Nellie image and this time its from Krista Smith called Picture Pose which you can get from Funky Kits here.  I followed the sketch at the Sugar Bowl and this is what I came up:

I followed the sketch and added some extra flowers!  I have had this lovely image coloured up for months and not made her up, so I thought it was about time! The papers are from MME - Miss Caroline - Dolled Up.  I just added some glamour dust and gems, and ribbon from my stash. I hope you like her!

That's it from me for now, enjoy the rest of your afternoon!

Before I go I just want to mention that Moving Along With The Times is celebrating its 3rd birthday on Thursday!

Make sure you pop by next week and join in the fun!

Love and Hugs

Morning All!

Can you believe its Thursday again already!!  This week has flown by.  Not that I am complaining, I have a day off work tomorrow which is great!  Am meeting a friend and going to the Design Museum in London and then for a nice lunch along the river.  Then back home in time for the England game!!

I am the hostess over at Moving Along With The Times this week and my theme this week is:

"Let's Get Krafty"

So we would like to see you using Kraft cardstock on your projects this week.  We are sponsored by the fabulous Digi Darla Designs.  Please do go along and visit the store, there are some fabulous images to chose from! So onto my project:

We were given some wonderful images to use and I have worked with Crissy and Ice Cream which you can get here.  Told you the images are fab!  I have used Kraft as my base card stock and have done some matting and layering with it. The DP is from Echo Park - Hello Summer.  I have used my Die-namics Banner Day die and added some Mulberry Flowers from the Hobby House.

OK, that's it from me!  Hop on over to the challenge blog to check out the DT inspiration. I hope you can join us this week.

Sugar Nellie

Hi All.
I hope your weekend went well.  The weather didn't really improve did it.

When I started the year I made a resolution to use images and make cards "just because" and not for any DT work (which, don't get me wrong I do still enjoy!)  The year started off well but somehow has slipped again so I am trying to make more of an effort again now!  One of those that I wanted to use more of and enter more of their challenges was at the Sugar Bowl using Sugar Nellie images. So I coloured up an image over the weekend for this week's sketch challenge.  Here is my card:

This gorgeous little thing is called Charlotte and you can get her at Funky Kits here.  She is absolutely shimmering in glitter but you can't see it from the photos!  I had a lot of trouble finding some paper that was Violet or had shades of this colour, which is odd as it is one of my favourite colours!  I've used some more of my Mulberry Flowers again, from the Hobby House here.  I know I am late to the party with these but I am loving using them!

I gave the corners some detail with my corner punch, which I don't think I like really but it was too late to change it!  I also used my butterfly punches which I am also still loving.  The ribbon is from my stash.

I hope you like her, I certainly enjoyed colouring her up!

OK, that's it from me for now.  Have a great day!

Hi Everyone!

I hope your weekend is going well!

Its my turn to share some inspiration on the Digi Bells Design Team blog.  Today I have used Pati's Kisses which you can get from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection here.  Here is my project:

I had such fun making my tag the other day that I have made another one for today!  She was such fun to work with and I enjoyed colouring her in.  I put her together with papers from MME Indie Chic Citron, some bazzill and kraft card stock.  The pretty lace ribbon was from my stash and the mulberry flowers are from The Hobby House. I also used my Martha Stewart doily border punch.

I hope you like her.  Please do go and check out the rest of the digital images available here.  Also don't forget you still have time to enter the sketch challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog.  The closing date is 22 June.

Paper Piecing at Wags 'n Whiskers

Good Morning Everyone!

I am late with this post!  I don't think I have been late for a Design Team before, I blame it on the short week last week!

This is my card for the new challenge at Wags 'n Whiskers this fortnight which is:

"Paper Piecing"

This isn't something I do very often but I do like the effect of it so really should try to do it more!  Here is my card:

I have used used Nichola who you can get here and paper pieced her dress to match the paper.  The papers are from MME Indie Chic Saffron, I have also added some glamour dust to her wings and the ribbon and sentiment are from Ladybug Crafts Ink.

I hope you can enter this week.  The winner will receive a Wags 'n Whiskers rubber stamp.  You don't have to use a WnW image but if you do you will be entered into a second draw for a WnW digi image.

Have a great Saturday, lets hope the weather improves a bit!

Anything But A Card at MAWTT

Hi All

Hope you are all well.  I am completely confused with the days this week, almost forgot to type this post up thinking it was earlier in the week!  Although not complaining, I wish we had four day weekends every week!

So today we have another challenge at Moving Along With The Times.  Our super talented Lisa has picked the theme which is:

"Anything But A Card"

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps

We were kindly given some images to use for the challenge.  Here is my project:

I have used Sparkles from Stitchy Bear and made a tag.  It was quite nice making something other than a card although I found it tricky to photograph it ok!!  I used Kraft CS for the base and papers from MME Indie Chic Citron.  I distressed the edges and inked up with a Chestnut Roan chalk inkpad.  I added soem Mulberry Flowers from the Hobby House and ribbon from my stash.  Her wings are very glittery but not sure it comes across!

Hop on over to the challenge blog to see what other surprises the DT have come up with.  Can't to see what you all come up with, I love these challenges!

Have a great day and see you soon!

Big Birthday at Ladybug Crafts Ink

Good Morning All!

I hope you are all well and have been enjoying all the Jubilee celebrations in the UK.  As I type this I am watching the Jubilee concert on the TV and Madness are performing on top of the Palace!  Brilliant!
Does anyone follow @Queen_UK on twitter?  The tweets have been hilarious over the weekend, you must follow if you don't already!

Anyway, enough rambling!  Today I am here for a new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink.  The theme has been set by our gorgeous Tams and the theme is:

"Big Birthday"

All the DT are using the same image and you might be able to guess his name just by looking at him:

Did you guess!?  Yep, he is called Beer Belly!  You can get him here in digi.  It was great to colour up a guy image and I had fun doing this.  I used my Echo Park Dots & Stripes Metropolitan pack and used my Die-namics Banner Day die and just added some pearls, ribbon and a button.  The sentiment is a rub on!

I hope you like it.  Do hop over to the challenge blog to check out the rest of the inspiration from the Design Team.

OK, have a great day and I will see you soon!
