Cross Stitch makes!

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while!  I hope there is someone still out there!

I have been doing less card making recently and more cross stitching.

I find  it so relaxing and it still offers me a creative outlet when I am not colouring or card making!

So I thought I would share some things I have done over the recent months.

I don't think I have shared any of them before!

First up are some Lili of the Valley fairies.  They are so cute!  They are a set of 12 calendar fairies and I am well on the way to completing all of them. 

I plan on getting them framed and put up in my craft room once they are all complete. 

So here they are:

They were such fun and didn't take long to do!

Garden Girl!

Hi Everyone

I hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend.  I wanted to get some colouring done today but I have been faffing around in the craft room basically doing nothing!

I did colour up another Garden Girl from Stamping Bella the other day for a special birthday for someone.  She is called Tiny Townie Sweet Pea.

I love these little ladies!

Mum's Birthday!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter.  The weather was so nice here!  

I love this time of year, with the sun shining and the flowers in bloom. My favourite season!

We celebrated Mum's birthday yesterday and it was a "special" one!  We had a lovely Afternoon Tea and took lots of photos, you will see them on Facebook if you are a Friend on there!

Here is the card I made for her.  Its a Stamping Bella image called "I'll Always Have Your Back".  Its so cute!

I LOVE elephants so it was such fun to colour this image!

Tiny Townie - Garden Girl Orchid

Hi Everyone!

Firstly, thank you so much for your lovely comments, both here and on my Facebook page, for my last card!  It was lovely to see and read all the comments!

I played around with a gorgeous Stamping Bella image during the week.  I used Tiny Townie Garden Girl Orchid.  I love these sweet images!  I am going to give it to my mum for Mother's Day!

Peek A Boo!!

Hi Everyone!

Well its been a while!  Almost 2 years!  Is there anybody still out there ??!! LOL!

I have had a little break from paper crafting.  I have dipped in every now and then but not really doing very much.  I have been cross stitching though and I will share some of the things I have been doing in a later post.

More recently I have suddenly got the urge to start colouring again.  Partly due to Faye's copic colouring classes but also seeing all the great work on Facebook, which I am still following and looking at closely!

So... I thought I would dip my toe in again!  Mind you getting to grips with Blogger again after 2 years was a challenge in itself!  I had forgotten everything!  I am not going to be producing lots and lots but I will see how it goes!

So I thought I would start off with a gentle card to get me started!

This was such fun to do!  The stamps are from Taylored Expressions - Pocketful of Sunshine.  I used my Lil'Inker Stitched Square for the white base and then my MFT Peek A Boo Circle Windows (purchased from Dies to Die For). I then just added the sequins (also from Taylored Expressions). 

The copic colours are:

Frog - YG01, YGO3, YG63

Chicken - Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17 

(I think its a chicken, it could be a duck!)

So be gentle with me!  I will be back again soon with another make!

Fab Friday - Tiddly Inks!

Hi All!

Its a very sad day for me today!  Its my very last card as part of the Tiddly Inks Design Team (sniff, sniff!)  Its been amazing being part of such an amazing, talented team.  And of course using all the gorgeous images from Christy!  Thank you ladies for having me!  

So onto my last Fab Friday card:

I have used the cropping technique again that I used yesterday and decided to go with some funky hair for a change!  The image is called "Wryn Happy Mail" and the sentiment is part of the set.  I have coloured with copics and used my white gelly roll pen to create the polka dots on her dress.  I added some pearls and glamour dust, oh and the border was done on my PC.

Hope you are all well!  Isn't the weather awful at the moment, its supposed to be summer, it feels more like winter at the moment!!  

I am here today with my project for the new challenge over at the Sugar Bowl!  As usual the theme is:

I have used "Love Letters" from the Simply Sassy range.  I have cropped the image and kept it CAS style.  I have been wanting to use this technique for a while.  I cropped the image and enlarged to fit my card blank.  I think its come out ok!  It gives you so many more options with your digi images!  

I coloured her with copics.  The sentiment is from my stash and I added some glamour dust and pearls.

I loved colouring this one up!  She is called "Wryn Have A Heart" and she is coloured with copics.  I added some little white polka dots to the hearts which I really like!  The border around the card is done on the computer and I just added some glamour dust and pearls.  I think she is super sweet, I hope you do too!!

Morning Everyone

I hope your weekend is going well.  I am back to work tomorrow after a week off so I am feeling a little fed up!!  Still I am only back 3 weeks then off again into the sun so can't complain!!

I am here today with my inspiration post using products from Handmade Bliss.

I have used a gorgeous Stamping Bella image called "Uptown Girl Brittany the Birthday Girl", this is currently sold out on the website but please see here for all the gorgeous Stamping Bella images.  She is coloured with copics and I have teamed her with Taylored Expressions Rainbow Brights paper pad available here and also the sequins to match here. 

I added some glamour dust and some flowers from my stash.  The banner is a Joanna Sheen die.

Morning Everyone!

Its Fab Friday over at Tiddly Inks today.  I've only got one more Challenge and one more Fab Friday and my term on the DT will be finished :-( !! Its flown by!  Christy has a DT call out for the next term so please do check out the details here.

Anyway onto today's Fab Friday and I decided to use the image "Mom and Me".  Here is my card:

I knew that I just wanted the image to be the main focus of the card so I have added nothing else apart from some pearls.  I also kept it sentiment free so I could use it for any occasion that suited the image.  I coloured with copics and a full list is below.  

I hope you like it!  I had fun colouring all that hair!!

Can you believe we have another new challenge starting over at Tiddly Inks today!  The week's seem to be flying by!

So we would like to see any of the cute little Tiddly Inks animals that are available in store.  Here is my card:

I was taking a look through all the cuteness in the store and these little guys just made me laugh!  So I had to use them for my card!  The set is called Flying High Anna Belle and includes the sentiments.  I coloured with copics and layered onto some digital paper.  I added some pearls to match the balloons. It still makes me smile!

Yeah its Friday, and not just any Friday, its Fabulous Friday over at Tiddly Inks!

Here is my card:

I have used super sweet "Ellie Says Hi" which you can get here.  I coloured her up with copics.  The sentiments came with the image and I used my new Speech Bubble die!  I couldn't wait to use it!!  I finished off with some sequins which are from Handmade Bliss, as is the paper which is Taylored Expressions Kraft in Colour.

The photos have come out quite dark!  Its actually a much lighter brown than this!  Anyway I have used "Story Teller" which is out of stock in rubber but you can get in digital here.  

The paper is from MME - Gnome Sweet Gnome which I have had for ages!  The die however is new and the first time I have used it!  Its a toadstool die from Noor Designs.  I coloured her with copics and added some glamour dust and pearls.

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all well this morning.  

We have a brand new challenge starting today over at Tiddly Inks!  Its a great one today!  

"Summer Song"

So create something based around your favourite summer tune!

Here is my card:

 

Can you guess my song?!!  Its Club Tropicana by Wham!  Now I am not saying this is my favourite summer tune but the video inspired me and it is a fun tune!  

I have used Wryn Beach Babe available from the store now.  The sentiment comes with the image.  I coloured with copics and layered onto some bazzill cardstock. I have used dies from Lil Inker Stitched Squares and La La Land Sun die.  I added some glamour dust and pearls.  I took the colours from the video as my inspiration and such fun colouring her up!
