Good afternoon everyone
Bit of a gloomy day today, popped out to meet my mum and had a coffee, although in my case it was a skinny hot chocolate and a raspberry and white chocolate muffin! Yes I know, what is the point having the hot chocolate skinny if I'm eating full fat muffin, in my mind its healthier!!
Now I promise, promise i will get back to doing some cards, but I did a couple more boxes, these are Christmas presents so I do need to get ahead. These boxes were only £1.60 each and I covered both boxes with one piece of 12 x 12 paper - Bo Bunny Winter Joy Snow Angels, so the cost isnt high at all.
I painted with Eco Green Crafts acrylic paint in Lilac. I then painted on some Cosmic Shimmer in Silver as I wanted a hint of shimmer and not just a flat colour. I then covered in the Bo Bunny paper. I made the flowers with the scraps of paper and I used some die cut flower shapes from Paper Artsy. These were one of the things I bought at the Craft Barn yesterday and I think they are going to be very handy.
Do you think these boxes look ok? I'm looking at them thinking they look home made and cheap??
Hope you are having a great Sunday afternoon. Might get started on a card soon!
Take care
Pami x

Anything but cheap looking Pami, they are going to make whatever gift you put in them really extra special. The papers are just gorgeous and so are your finishing touches.

Hi Pami and thanks for leaving a comment on the Craft Barn post today and sharing your blog post with us, it's much appreciated and I'm glad you've tried the paints too. I think your boxes are beautiful, definitely not cheap looking at all and the colours you chose are so fresh and pretty, I'm sure anyone would love to receive one of these as a gift. :)
ReplyDeletePam if someone presented you with one of those boxes you'd be thrilled to bits. They are delightful - cheap? tut tut tut. Often we do not see the beauty in our own work. You are on a winner with those.
