Be My Valentine ??

Good afternoon

I don't really do Valetine's but I saw the stella image at Bugaboo Stamps - stupid cupid - which really made me laugh.  So I just had to use her! I am sorry if I am upsetting all the old romantics out there but this is my kind of valetine!!  Cracks me up every time!
I used paper from Making Memories called Love Struck and some red bazzill.  I did some faux stitching on the inside and outside. I'm going to put some GA on the hearts as well (forgot before I took the photo).  I know my colouring isnt the best but I hope its ok!

I am entering into the following challenages:
Wow thats a lot this week!

Enjoy your afternoon.

CR84FN12

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well and have lots of nice plans for the weekend.  I have a card to show you tonight that is a little different.  I wanted to try some distressing although it doesnt really look like it from the photo!  The light was awful when I took the photo so the colour is much better in real life!

I used some kraft cs and some V&A paper for both the main card and the panel.  I stamped the background verse and the flower with some chalk ink pads.  I scrunched the flower up a bit and held it all together with a brad and then added the ribbon which is a nice soft lilac but you can't tell from the photo. I distressed all the edges and roughed it up a bit.

I'm not sure about it, it doesnt look like it did in my head!  Still it was nice to do something a little different. I hope you like it!

I used these colours for the CR84FN challenge 12 which I thought were lovely.

I'm off to bed now, have a lovely weekend.

Cards from Mum!!

Good Morning Everyone!!

I'm not posting my own card today but I am sharing a couple of cards that my mum made!  She popped over to me the other day and we had a whole day crafting together!  It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad she came over!  Here are her cards:
She had me chained to the Cuttlebug for most of the day but she loved the nesties and the die-namics dies to make the flowers.  She used Day Off Ruby from the lovely Kerry.  She used some V&A paper which looks gorgeous, it has a real linen feel about it.  In the second card she used a freebie stamp which looks great coloured in.

I am going to enter them into the following challenges for her:

Hope you like them.  I can't wait for our next craft day mum!

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Plum with stitching

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all ok, I can't believe its Tuesday again, but its good news because it means another TLT over at the LCI Challenge Blog.  Today it is the turn of the lovely Amber our Guest Designer who has challenged us to make a card where the main colour is Plum with stitching - faux or real.  Here is my card:

I apologise for the photo, the card isn't quite so maroon as it looks here.  Anyway, I bought Day Off Ruby before Christmas but hadn't inked her up so I thought I'd use her for this project.  I used Kraft CS and Bo Bunny paper.

Now all those who use a sewing machine look away now because the next bit will just make you laugh!  I wanted to challenge myself this week and do real stitching and not faux.  I don't have a sewing machine (and really wouldn't know what to do with one if did!) So I got out my cross stitch threads and needle out, measured the spaces with my ruler and hand stitched the two panels.  It took a bit longer than usual but I think it looks ok, it gives it a kind of shabby chic effect.

Please go and take a look at all the other wonderful projects by the Design Team, they are megamazing, and join in the fun challenge this week.

Before I go, I wanted to thank Brenda at Bumblebees and  Butterflies, my lovely co-DT member at MAWTT who gave me the Love Blog Award which I accept, thank you Brenda.
Here are the conditions for the 'Love Blog' award.

Sunday, Sunday

Good afternoon everyone

I can't believe its Sunday afternoon, why does it go so quickly? :-(  Well my units did not turn up yesterday, I wasn't happy.  My craft room is a bit of a mess at the moment but hopefully the units will come next week so it won't be for long.

I've done another card today using a Bugaboo image. I've used the colours from The Color Throwndown challenge #125.

I've used the Heels Big Bow image which I love. I used some Kraft CS as a base and used Bo Bunny Flutter Butter Willow paper and some Bazzil Bling from Hayley

I was just a fun card for no particular reason, I just wanted to use the image! I hope you like it.

I will be entering into the following challenges:
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Birthday Girl

Good afternoon everyone

I hope you are all having a great weekend.  I've had a nice quiet start to Saturday, had a bit of a clear up of my craft room!  Well I started at 10am last night but didnt finish it!  I am waiting from some new units to arrive so getting prepared!

I've also made a birthday card for a colleague in work.

I bought Dottie Cupcake from Bugaboo Stamps (love their images).  I coloured her with my promarkers and used a bit of glitter, gems, button and some grosgrain ribbon.  I used Bo Bunny papers - Alissa So Cute, and some Bazzill Bling, which I bought from the lovely Hayley at Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn. I decorated the inside as well and used a sentiment stamp from Ladybug Crafts.

I'm going to get on and try and get another card done today while I wait for my delivery.

TLT - Anything But Square

Good morning everyone

I hope you are all well and have not been hit by this horrible flu/cold bug that everyone seems to be getting at the moment!

I hope you all enjoyed the blog hop last week over at the LCI Challenge Blog.  The winner has been announced today so dash over and have a look!  We have a brand new challenge today and this week we would like to see "Anything but Square".  So dig out all your shaped cards, as long as they are not square!  Here is my card:

I used one of the lovely cupcake cuties and popped her onto a cupcake shaped card.  The template for the card is from Maria Bell at Stamping Inspirations.  It worked so well with this image!  I used Best Creations paper which you can't really see underneath the cupcake and the ribbon but it says "have fun", "little cake" "surprise" so I thought it went well with the image.

I used a bunch of fluffy stuff and added some glitter to the cupcake.  I used a red dew drop for the cherry.  And some ribbon to finish off.

I hope you like it.  Please go along and see the other fabulous creations from the DT.

Bath Baby!

Good afternoon everyone

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.  I treated myself this morning and went off and had a back and shoulder massage.  Apparently my shoulders and neck are very, very tight and I should go and have a massage every week to get them sorted out!  I had a little booster facial as well when the massage was done.  Lovely.

I made a card using the new Baby Baby Stamps over at Ladybug Crafts Ink.  Don't forget the blog hop over at the LCI challenge blog to celebrate the release of these new stamps.  You still have time to join in and there are some fabulous prizes.  Also Kerry has got the Baby Baby Stamp set available for £6.99 instead of £8.99 until tomorrow so dash over there and buy this set.  You won't be disappointed. Here is my card.

The paper is Sweet Spots from Doodlebug and it is so pretty, the colours are really vivid and all glittered. I thought it would be perfect for bath baby!  I added glitter and pearls to the bath.  The sentiments are also from the stamp set.

Thats all from me today.  Before I go can I remind you that the lovely Hayley over at Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn has a fantastic sale.  She has 10% off and free p&p over £20.  She has some fantastic stuff over there, have just ordered some papers for myself!

Birthday Card for an 80th

Hi All,

Its Friday, thank goodness.  I hope you have all had a good week.  I was asked to make a birthday card for an 80th birthday.  I always panic ever so slightly when I need to do a special card, I always worry if the recipient will like it (I have since been told that she loved it so thats good!)

I recently bought the English Rose selection of papers from Kaisercraft and I thought this would be great to use with its soft greens and pinks. I used that with some ivory bazzill bling. The stamp is from Clear Art Stamps.  I used my promarkers to colour the image. I do worry about colouring flowers, its a big space and I had to really concentrate on the shading. I added a bit of glitter to distract from the colouring a bit!!  I added a green velvet ribbon which matched perfectly and added the button.  The inside was done as well but I forgot to take a photo!

I hope you like it.  I will enter into the following challenges:

MAWTT - Dreams

Hi Everyone

Welcome to Thursday and another challenge over at MAWTT.  Its the wonderful Brenda's challenge today and the theme is

"Dreams".

Today is "Make Your Dream Come True" day.  Isn't that lovely?  So we would like to see your card, layout, altered item or any project that reflects the title, interpret it in any way you choose.

Our sponsor today is Crafters Companion
And they are offering a £10 voucher to spend instore.

How fabulous is that, so get cracking!

For my card I've used the little guy from LOTV.  I wonder what he is dreaming and what he is wishing for.

I had a nightmare with this card, I must have stamped the image about 6 times.  Anyway I used the fabulous Bo Bunny spotty paper and some bazzill bling.  I also used some twine ribbon which is from my Anna Griffin pack I bought the other week.

Please go along and take a look at the other fabulous projects from the DT team.  Lets hope all our dreams come true, if not today, but sometime soon.

TLT and Blog Hop!!!

Good morning everyone!

Well its an exciting day today! Its Tuesday so its TLT over on the Ladybug Challenge Blog. BUT its not any old TLT, oh no! First of all we have the brand new release of Kerry's FANTABULOUS new stamps, they are so cute you will love them. Secondly we are having a blog hop to celebrate! So you have two chances to win this week! This is my first blog hop so extra special for me!

You should have arrived here from Mary's blog. If you haven't then you need to go back to the Ladybug Challenge Blog to start from the beginning. After me you need to go over to Tam's Blog.

We were all given the new images to play with and they really were such fun to use. None of the DT have seen each other's projects so we are all dead excited!  My project is below.

I decided to alter a box which I painted up white and covered with some lovely gingham paper.  I used the sleeping baby and the sentiments that also come with the set.  Added some ribbon, buttons and glitter and bobs your uncle!  Isn't it cute!  I was having some much fun playing with the images that I decided to do a baby girl box too!
I really loved doing these and using the images and I hope you have as much fun with them as well. You can get them from here and for one week only they are reduced from £8.99 to £6.99! So onto the rules of the Hop - which are:

a) Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts.

b) Leave a comment at the bottom of this post telling us which is your favourite image from the new release.

c) Display the blog hop banner which is at the top of this post on your blog either in a post or on your side bar.

The Prize is a full set of the new BABY BABY stamps along with some GOODIES from Hayley at FUNKY FARM SCRAPBOOK BARN (who also has a fabulous 10% discount for all Ladybug friends using the code TLTLADYBUGS)

The hop will close 9am GMT on Monday 17th January. The winner will be announced at 9am GMT on Tuesday 18th January.

The second way you can win a prize of the full set of BABY BABY stamps is by entering the challenge this week and Kerry has chosen the theme BABY.  You DON'T have to use an Ladybug Crafts Ink image to enter this week - any image will do.

So don't forget, you have 2 chances to win... you can JUST enter the hop, or JUST enter the challenge or if you are game - enter them Both!
