Its Pink and Girly at LCI!

Good Morning All

Hope your week has started well.  We have a brand new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink.  I hope you enjoyed the blog hop and the new Floral Delight images?!  If you haven’t bought yours yet head on over to the LCI Store here.  They are perfect images for all sorts of occasions and with Mothers Day coming up they would be perfect!

Today’s challenge has been set by our gorgeous Catherine and her theme is:

“Pink and Girly”

Pretty easy, although not sure Tams was happy about this one!!

Here is my card:

Sorry the photos are so bad, not sure what happened!!  I have used Dancing Nikki which I bought in Kerry’s recent sale.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Friendship Ticket Sentiment stamps.  The paper is Country Drive from Echo Park.  I made the flowers with crepe paper so they are very dimensional and have lots of texture, I added a bit of glamour dust to them.

Hope you like her.  Pop over to the challenge blog to check out the other pink, gorgeous creations!

Don’t forget I have some blog candy up for grabs.  Click here for more info.

Have a great day

Blog Candy Time!

Good Morning All!

I had a great day yesterday at the Scrapbook Sisters crop.  It was great to meet up with Sue and Julie from Ladybug Crafts Ink, and to meet up with all the lovely ladies!  I will post a photo next time.

I have wanted to offer some candy for a while now and just hadn’t got around to sorting it out!  It was going to be Christmas candy and then Valentine’s candy now its just regular candy!!  It’s to say thank you to all my great friends and followers who always leave me lovely comments and for giving me such wonderful inspiration.  Here is what I am offering:

You just need to be a follower, leave me a comment below and if you want to, pop the photo on your sidebar.  I will leave the candy open until 17 March and draw the winner on Mother’s Day (UK) on 18 March.

Good luck!

Shock, horror, no flowers!

Well it’s Friday, the sun is shining and the weekend is almost upon us, what more
could you ask for!!

I am looking forward to my weekend.  Tomorrow I am off to a Scrapbook Sisters crop where I will be meeting up with my LCI teamie Sue!  I can’t wait!  I have already started packing away what I need to take, although I think I need to be a bit more sensible and unpack half of it, I don’t think I really need to take the entire contents of my craft room!  Will try and take some photos to share!

So onto my card and yes, you read the title correctly, not a single flower on my card today!!

My card is for a good friend of mine will be celebrating her birthday in a couple of weeks.  I bought some of the new Stamping Bella Uptown Girl stamps a few weeks ago from Quixotic Paperie and this is the first chance I have had to use one.  She is called Lucille Sends Her Love.  I put her together with MME Oh La La paper pad and I think they are perfect together!  The sentiment and gorgeous ribbon are both from Ladybug Crafts Ink.  I added a little charm that the lovely Lisa gave to me when I visited a couple of weeks ago.  It was with a selection of little charms that she gave to both Laurie and I!  I finished off with some glamour dust and pearls.

OK, that’s it from me!  Enjoy your afternoon whatever you are up to and hopefully I will be back over the weekend at some point!

Take Care

Lots of Layers at MAWTT

Good Morning All

I hope your week is going well.  It seems like everyone is coming down with some bug or other so if you are suffering I hope you feel better soon!  I am back today with a card for the new challenge at Moving Along With The Times.  Sandra is our gorgeous hostess today and the theme is;

"Lots of Layers"

I used one of the LOTV pre-coloured images, it did feel a little bit like cheating but I do love these images and I am not very good at colouring fur!  Here is my card:

The image is called Thomas the Cat which you can get here.  I have used my new freebie papers again which are Hot off the Press Soft Nostalgia.  I really like the colours of these papers.  I used my Cheery Lynn Die and my Martha Stewart fench punch (which looks a little crooked!)

We are sponsored this week by Crimson Cloud

who are very kindly offering 3 packs of die cuts of the winners choice!  Do go along to their website to check out all the fab goodies in store.

Ok, think that's it from me!  Do go along to the challenge blog to see the rest of fabulous inspiration from the DT.

Have a great day!

LCI Blog Hop Reminder

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well and have had a good start to the week.  Just a quickie from me this morning, I forgot to schedule this last night!

I wanted to share another card with you using the new Ladybug Crafts Ink Floral Delight digi images.

Don’t forget we still have our blog hop running until next week so plenty of time for you to join in, there are lots of prizes on offer!  Head back to the challenge blog to start the hop, and don't forget to grab the badge from my side bar for your side bar!  If you don’t want to join in with the blog hop you can still join in with our theme this week which is:

“Spring is in the Air”

So onto my card:

I used Wellies Delight which you can get here.  (The photos look a little blurry, didn't notice that before!) I teamed the image with my Echo Park Country Drive pack which I thought was perfect with the little ladybug and the colours!  I used my Cheery Lynn Miniature Rose Die and my Madera Corner Memory Box Die.  The ribbon is just from my stash.  I added some glamour dust which you can’t really see very well and the charm is one I picked up in Yorkshire last week!

I made the flowers with lots of layers of crepe paper and then coloured them with my copics to match the colour in the image.  You can't see from the photo but they are very dimensional.  I think I will be using crepe paper again to make these!

So that’s it from me today, have a good one and I will see you soon.

A Saturated Canary Card

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Well Saturday whizzed by in a flash!  Had a fun afternoon with my sister and nephew yesterday.  I am off this morning to meet up with a friend for a bit of window shopping!  I am popping into the Apple store to see if my iPad can be fixed.  It died about 2 weeks ago and am lost without it!

I managed to fit in some colouring and a card yesterday.  I wanted to join in with the Saturated Canary challenge this week as I have missed the last two.  Here is my card:

I used Whispy, a Fairy which you can get here.  I love her outfit!  The paper is Isabelle from First Edition which I bought in Yorkshire last week.  I have taken inspiration from Kerry for my flowers as I have used aida fabric which Kerry has been using a lot of recently.  Not sure mine are quite as good as hers yet!  I used my mini rolled rose die from Die-namics at Dies to Die For which you can get here.  They have a brand new monthly challenge blog now which is very exciting!

I followed the sketch at Quixotic Paperie but made it circular, (hope that’s ok girls)!

Right better get up and ready!!  Have a great day.

Sugar Nellie

Good Morning Everyone

I hope your weekend has started well and you have some nice things planned.

I have made a card today using a Sugar Nellie image which I bought a few weeks ago.  Her name is Manga Girl #1 which you can get from Funky Kits here.

I have been desperate to use the my new Portobello Road paper pack which I bought a couple of weeks ago!  In fact everything on my card is new today!  The ribbon is also from the same collection which I bought last week in Yorkshire!  The pin is from my blogging buddy Laurie who gave me a selection to try out!

I think my colouring is awful on this card, the hair and skin aren’t great and I nearly didn’t post the card but I guess we should post the good and the bad (and I also liked the paper too much!) I have been watching a lot of colouring videos lately to try and improve.  It so frustrating sometimes and it does take away the enjoyment.

Anyway!  I had better get going, got a few bits to do before I go and meet my sister and nephew.

Have a great day everyone.

Love

Happy Friday!!

So glad its nearly the weekend again!  Isn’t awful how we wish our lives away waiting for the weekend!!  I hope you have lots of lovely things planned.  I will be seeing my sister and nephew tomorrow which will be fun!  Am hoping to find time to play in my craft room so I can try out all my new purchases from last week!

Today is another challenge at Wags ‘nWhiskers.  I picked the theme today and I want to see:

"Male Birthday"

I know they are not easy but they have to be done!!  Here is my card:

New Challenge at MAWTT

Hello!

Its Thursday again which can only mean another challenge over at Moving Along With The Times.   Thanks for all your cute critters last week, we had fun having a look at them all!

Our Shell is the hostess this week and the theme is:

“Get Well Soon”

I certainly need a few of these cards at the moment, all my friends are dropping like flies with some sort of bug or other.  Here is my card:

I have been wanting to use one of the new Wryn images at Tiddly Inks for ages.  I first saw this image used on Pinky’s blog here and I just had to have it!  She is called Wryn New Wings which you can get here. The paper was free in a magazine recently and its from Hot off the Press.  I love this paper and have used quite a bit of it recently.  Its nice to get a freebie that you actually use!  I am afraid I have used my new Cheery Lynn flower die again, you will be sick of seeing it soon!!  This time I used some of the paper for my layers and added a cute little brad in the middle.  Because the paper is so pretty I didn’t want to use too many more embellishments. I hope you like it.

We are sponsored this week by Di’s Digi Downloads and they are very kindly offering a $10 voucher to spend in store!

OK, I think that’s it from me.  Pop over to the challenge blog to take a look at the rest of the DT’s fabulous creations.

Have a great day and will see you soon.

New Release and Blog Hop

Hi All!

I hope you are all ok!

Its release day at Ladybug Crafts Ink today and we have some fabulous new digi images for you!  You have been getting some sneak peaks over the last week and today is the big reveal!  To celebrate we are having a blog hop so grab a cuppa as this is a long post!

Firstly the theme this week is:

"Spring Is In The Air"

Here is my card using one of the new images.  The new collection is called Floral Delights. None of the DT have seen all the images yet nor the rest of the projects, so we are all as excited as you!

I hope you like it!  What do you think of the image?! The inspiration for the layout came from Mary J who has been doing some fab circular cards recently.  I have used the new image with some new felt also from the LCI shop, its lush!  I have also used my new favourite flower die from Cheery Lynn called Miniature Rose which has lots of layers making it very dimensional.  (I have also done these flowers in crepe paper which I will show you soon!)

Anyway, enough waffle onto the blog hop.  Here are the rules:

a) Visit each of the DT members in order and leave a comment on each of their blog hop posts.
b) There will be a LETTER the challenge blog and on each of the DT's blogs - note these down! At the end of the hop the letters you have collected will spell a word.   Email us at lcichallengeblog@aol.com with the word you have spelt.
c) Display the blog hop banner which is at the top of this post on your blog, either in a post or on your side bar.

The First Prize is The whole shebang ....
all 9 images  in the new release
and we have 5 Runner up prizes of  two images each.  Winners will be chosen at random!

You should have arrived from the fabulous Diane and after me you need to hop over to the gorgeous Pinky.  If you get lost please pop back to the main challenge blog.  Your letter from me is Y.

If you don't want to join in with the blog hop you can just join in with the theme this week.

Don't forget to grab the banner from my sidebar for your blog.  Have fun!!

Love
