TLT Reminder - Favourite Stamp

Good Morning All.

Back to work today, how depressing!  And it certainly feels like the end of summer here, which is also depressing!  Anyway, enough of all that!  I am sharing a card today as a little reminder of the challenge over at Ladybug Crafts. It is running for another week and the theme is Favourite Stamp.  Real easy!

I decided to ink up Sledding Fun again, its my favourite Christmas stamp from the Christmas Robyn & Jack set which you can get here

I had some gorgeous snowflake vellum which I really wanted to use but wasn't sure how to use it.  I decided in the end to use it as the background paper for this card.  It really is very nice and has a little bit of sparkle.  The lovely paper is from Three Bugs in Rug, I love the colours in this!  I made the snowflakes from my felt and added lots of glitter and white flower soft to the image so it looks like snow!

So if you would like to enter the challenge with your favourite stamp we would love to see it.  Got along to the challenge blog here

Now some exciting news next week!  We are having a bit of a blog hop to celebrate a brand new release!  You will LOVE the new images! Grab the banner below for your sidebar and wait for the fun next week!

Well have a great day everyone, speak to you soon.
Love

    Hi Everyone

Well the weekend is rushing by so quickly, thank goodness we have an extra day off tomorrow in the UK!!  I had some time today to make a couple of cards, one that I am going to share with you today. Here it is:

The image is Sonny Honeycloud Poetry from Pollycraft.  I think she is very cool, I love her style!  The challenge over at Pollycraft Monday is to use Autumn colours so this is what I have done.  I really like this colour combination.  I used the sketch over at the Sweet Stop which was really great to work with.  I hope you like it.

I just wanted to share a photo that I took from my living room window.  The sky looked amazing!

That is it from me today. I just want to say I am sorry if I haven't commented on everyone's blogs for a while.  I promise I am looking and will be catching up soon!

    Enjoy your evening everyone!

    Sunshine and Rain!

     Good evening everyone!

Are you having a great weekend?  We have had lots of sunshine and rain today, and even both at the same time! Very strange!
So the rain was a good excuse to spend some time in my craft room.  This card started out as something else but when I saw that LOTV's current challenge was "Thank You" I decided to make it a thank you card so I could enter the challenge!  Here it is.

As you may remember I attended the LOTV colouring day back in April and bought a number of stamps which haven't been inked up at all since, shameful!  So I had a bit of a LOTV day today!  I really enjoyed colouring this little lovely, she is called Rosie Posy!  This image was used as one of the projects on the colouring day and this is where my inspiration came from for the card. I think I may have a new fav colour combo now as well!  Of course the gorgeous flowers are made using Die-namics Mini Rolled Rose which I bought from Dies to Die For.  Are there too many flowers on this card??!  The lace ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Ink

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Have a wonderful evening and I will see you again soon!
    Love

    "Birds"

This did send some of the team into a panic (LISA!) but hey, its called a challenge for a reason!

We are sponsored this week by "Digi My World"

They have some new images available in store which we were lucky enough to use.  I have used Love Birds which you can get here.

I used my Fine and Dandy papers from MME which I got from Quixotic Paperie, I really like the colours in this pack.  I made the heart glossy with my GA and added some doodling around the edges. My blogging buddy Cazza does this quite a lot and I really like the effect.

    Happy Birthday Laurie!

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well!

I am posting a card today which is for my blogging buddy Laurie who is celebrating a big birthday today!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURIE!!

I hope she got her card on time and has opened it by now because this is what I made her!

Don't you just love the quote! From the fabulous Coco Chanel herself! I thought it suited the image perfectly and was perfect for Laurie! I bet this is what she will look like later at her party!!

The image is Victoria Case for SCACD which you can get from Quixotic Paperie. She is called Femme Fatale which is part of the Retro Crew 2. I used glamour dust all over her dress so its all sparkly! The gorgeous paper is from MME (of course!) from the Lost and Found collection. The ribbon is from Kerry at Ladybug Crafts Ink and is one of my favourites!

I am not one for putting sentiments on the front of cards but I do think my cards don't look quite finished most of the time! So I am going to start putting sentiments on all of them from now on, will see if that helps! Or maybe I should just add loads more embellishments!

Anway, I had better get on, pop over to Laurie's blog and leave some birthday wishes!

    Love

Another DT Card for Cupcake Craftroom

Hi All, I hope you are having a great weekend.

I have been having a bit of a sort out in my craft room, bought myself a new desk and corner unit to give me more work space which is great.  I need to sort out where everything goes now but I think I will leave that to the bank holiday weekend!
I have a little card today to share using the gorgeous Soft Whispers Paper Collection from Cupcake Cards and Crafts which you can get here.

The current challenge at Cupcake Craftroom is still running and you have a chance to win this gorgeous paper.  The theme is Soft and Sweet so get your entries in before 30 August for a chance to win.

    Here is my card:

I have used Awaken Blush as my background paper and Pretty Hazle for the flowers.  They are such pretty papers to work with.  The image is Stamping Bella, Bessie Lou which I have had for ages and not used before, terrible!  The fabulous ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Ink and the flowers are made from the Flowers and Leaf Trio Die-namics from Dies to Die For.

I have distressed all the edges which you can't see properly from the photo but it does have a nice shabby chic, distressed feel to it!  I didn't intend it to start that way but the blade on my trimmer is blunt!! I have added glitter to the flowers and dress so there is a lovely twinkle to it!

Well I hope you have a wonderful day, hopefully the weather will behave itself!

    Love to all

    MAWTT - Flashback Week

    Happy Thursday everyone!

I hope you are all well, and enjoying your week!  I have had a nice week, met up with some friends last night and the night before.  Was great to catch up over a bottle of wine and some food!
We have a brand new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times this week.  The uber fabulous Lisa is our hostess and this week the theme is:

    "Flashback Week"

So basically we want to see an old project/card that you are most proud of. It could be one of your first using a particular technique or something you won your first challenge with or anything that makes that project special for you.

We are sponsored this week by "Stamping With Brenda"

The prize will be THREE FREE months of The How to WOW Paper Crafting Techniques Club.  Information can be found here http://the-how-to-wow.stampingwithbrenda.com/

    So here is my project:

This is special to me as it was my first ever altered box which I still use and keep on my hallway table for keys and other bits and bobs!! This was also my early attempts at making flowers as well.  The box is from Kaisercraft and you can get all your Kaisercraft goodies at the fabulous Merly Impressions. The paper is My Minds Eye and is one of my all time favourites!  Some of you may remember I made a set of drawers to match this in the same paper.  I still use that too!

Anyway, I hope you have fun looking through all your old work, remember to tell us why it is special to you.  Please go and check out the other fabulous projects on the MAWTT blog.

Have a great day everyone and I will see you soon.

Fab n Funky - A Stitch in Time

Good morning everyone.  I hope your week is going well.

We have a brand new challenge for you over at Fab n Funky this week, which is:
    "A Stitch in Time"

So we would like to see stitching this week, anything from faux to real or even a stitching theme on your card or project.

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Pink Petticoat

Their images are so cool, I love them.  For my project today I have used an image from "Lola Rose Big Day" collection.  I was asked to make a wedding card by a friend of mine so I thought this was perfect.

I really enjoyed making this.  The colour scheme for the wedding is dusky pink and navy so I went with pink!  It was easier to use!  I used a swirl embossing folder for some of the background but kept it pretty simple.  My stitching is faux and used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen for a hint of sparkle.  I used glamour dust on her veil and the flowers.  Its really pretty in real life!  The gorgeous ribbon and felt is from Ladybug Crafts Ink and so is the sentiment stamp which is from the Baby Baby collection. I can't seem to make a card without a felt flower at the moment!  These are made using my new mini rolled rose die-namic die which I got from Dies to Die For.  I hope the recipient likes it!!

Please go along to the challenge blog to check out all the other wonderful inspiration.

    Have a great day!

    Recycled!

    Good morning (just!) everyone!

Hope you are having a great weekend.  I have to be really quick today, haven't got started at all and its nearly midday!!

I have done an altered item today. I bought an old letter rack from Oxfam the other day which I thought would be great to decorate.  Here is the item before I started:

And here are a few pictures of the finished result!

I really had fun doing this and I should really make time to do more of this sort of thing.  My cupboard is full of stuff waiting to be altered!

So, I painted up with my eco-friendly paint in white and then covered with MME paper - Alphabet Soup (which I love!) and bought from Quixotic Paperie.  I inked up the edges with my chalk pad. For my images I used the very cute Tiddly Wings from Pollycraft, I used "Bunches" and "Heart"I then used my gorgeous new felt from Ladybug Crafts Ink (love the orange!) which you can get here(DON'T FORGET THE SALE OVER AT LADYBUG CRAFTS WHICH ENDS TOMORROW - HURRY!!)  I then made the flowers and grass with my die-namics dies which I bought from Dies to Die For here

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Sorry it's so quick today.  Have a great day and speak to you soon!
