Bugs 'n Birds at Cupcake Craftroom

Good Morning!

I hope your weekend is going well.  The sun is back out here again today which is nice.

As its a new month we have a brand new challenge over at Cupcake Craftroom.  As we are now into April and the start of Spring our new challenge is:

"Birds 'n Bugs"

So anything with a Spring feel featuring anything with wings.

The DT are showcasing a new paper collection called Dragonflies which come in 36 different colours with solid colours to match.  They are so pretty.  Here is my project:

I used the bright green and lavender colours in both the solids and dragonflies.  The little boxes were so easy to make, I got the template from czPaperCrafts.com and I used the hexagon box.  I added a loopy bloom on the top with a little tag from SU.  I made a card to match using one of the LOTV pre-coloured squares, the colours matched perfectly and I was running out of time to colour one myself!  I used the willow dragonfly die from memory box and added some little gems.  I hope you like my little set.

Please go along to the challenge blog to see the rest of the DT inspiration.

OK, have a great day everyone, I hope its relaxing!
Love

Spring Bouquet at Cupcake Craftroom

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY MAWTT POST

Hi Again!  My second post today is for our brand new challenge at Cupcake Craftroom.  We have a great new theme for this month which is:

“Spring Bouquet”

You can interpret this any way you wish, it can be spring or fresh colours, flowers, floral paper, flower gems, etc.

The DT are using the brand new Spring Bouquet paper collection which is available here.  It’s a gorgeous collection of fresh, springlike papers. The winner of the challenge will receive these gorgeous papers.

So onto my cards:

For my first card I have used Polka Moss and Spring Bouquet from the paper collection.  The image is from the new Floral Delights collection from Ladybug Crafts Ink which you can get here.  I love these papers they are so fresh.  I used my new Spring Border die from Memory Box to add some details and just added some glamour dust and tiny butterflies.
Here is my second card:

The image is again from the new Floral Delights images from Ladybug Crafts Ink.  The papers are Solid Pink, Polka Pink and Shabby Rose Pink from the paper collection.  I have used my die-namics rolled flower die, which has been slightly neglected lately!  I made the flowers with aida and added some pearls and lace.

So that's it from me!  I hope you agree the new papers are beautiful!  I have used them in a few more projects so you will see them coming up soon!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Love

Happy New Year and Anything Goes at Cupcake Craftroom

Happy New Year to you all!

I hope you had an enjoyable evening last night whatever you were up to.  I had a good clear up this morning, packed away all the Christmas bits.  Its an awful day here today, pouring with rain as I speak!  Maybe I need to look up somewhere nice to go on holiday!

I am here today as we have a brand new challenge at Cupcake Craftroom.  Its an easy one for you this month - Anything Goes!

I wanted to make up some thank you cards and this is what I came up with:

I used the Soft Whispers collection which you can get here.  I printed the Leaves papers in all the different colours in the collection.  I added some bazzill bling to matt the paper onto.

The flower is my new loopy bloom die from Die-namics which I got from Dies to Die For.  (You will be seeing a lot of these in the next few weeks, I love them!)  I made these in different colours of felt which you can get from Ladybug Crafts Ink.  The flower is matted onto a Memory Box Woven Circle die.

I then just added some gems and the sentiment is actually a rub on from Bazzill (quick and easy!)

I hope you can join in with our challenge this month, please pop along to the challenge blog to see all the creations by the DT.

Have a relaxing New Year's Day.

Love

The DT were given the pack to use and it took me half an hour to decide, there was so much choice!  Here is my project:

My sweet element is the image which is from Sweet November called Neva which you can get from All That Scraps.  I decided to make an easel card (which are so hard to photograph!), and to go with it I made a small gift tag.  The papers I used from the paper were: Snowflakes Pink; Textured Solid Pink and Swirl It Pink.  I told you were they were great papers!  I added some Bazzill Bling CS.  The image is glittered with glamour dust so its really sparkly in real life.  The ribbon is from LCI which you can get here

Krafty Halloween at Cupcake Craftroom!

Happy weekend everyone!!
Wow, the weather the UK at the moment is amazing. Very hot and sunny and its October!! Very strange but not complaining!
We have a brand new challenge at the Cupcake Craftroom, thank you to everyone who entered our pink and green challenge last month, they were all amazing!  This month our challenge is:
"Krafty Halloween"

So we want to see all your Halloween cards using Kraft card, this can be the base of the card, the background or even the embellishments!

The winner will receive the gorgeous new "Kraft Kard Paper Collection" from Mandy which will go with absolutely everything that you do!

Here is my card:

I used two of the new papers from the collection - Everyday Kraft for the front and base and Ribbed Kraft for the inside.  I think the ribbed Kraft is great and a little bit different to the regular Kraft paper.

The image is from Saturated Canary and she is called Tambry, A Frankenstein which you can get  here and the sentiment is from Pollycraft.  I distressed the papers with my Tim Holtz tool and added some ribbon from LCI.  The fence is from Martha Stewart and the black paper is from MME Mischievous paper pack.  I really enjoyed colouring the fabulous image, never done green skin before!!!  I hope you like it.

Do pop along now to the Cupcake Craftroom to check out all the rest of the DT's gorgeous makes!  Look forward to your creations this month!

"Pink and Green"

The winner of this month's challenge will win these gorgeous papers called "Pretty Papers Pack"
I have used these on my project today and they are:

I had a go at making these cute little milk cartons!  They were a lot of fun to do and they can be used for lots of different things including little gifts like sweets or chocolate!  I used a template by Regina Easter which you can get from the Cutting Cafe here. She has some great templates you must go and check them out!

The first one is made using the mini flowers and the lime solid papers from the pack.  I added some felt flowers, gorgeous ribbon and some gems.  The sentiment is from LOTV.

The second carton is made from the snowflake and pink solid papers from the pack.  I made a border with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch which I wrapped around the middle of the carton and added snowflakes using my die-namics snowflake die.  I have added lots of glitter and gems but these are difficult to see by the picture!

I hope you like them.  Please go along to the challenge blog and take a peak at the rest of the DT inspiration.  Please do have fun this month with the challenge, its a great colour combination!

Another DT Card for Cupcake Craftroom

Hi All, I hope you are having a great weekend.

I have been having a bit of a sort out in my craft room, bought myself a new desk and corner unit to give me more work space which is great.  I need to sort out where everything goes now but I think I will leave that to the bank holiday weekend!
I have a little card today to share using the gorgeous Soft Whispers Paper Collection from Cupcake Cards and Crafts which you can get here.

The current challenge at Cupcake Craftroom is still running and you have a chance to win this gorgeous paper.  The theme is Soft and Sweet so get your entries in before 30 August for a chance to win.

Here is my card:

I have used Awaken Blush as my background paper and Pretty Hazle for the flowers.  They are such pretty papers to work with.  The image is Stamping Bella, Bessie Lou which I have had for ages and not used before, terrible!  The fabulous ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Ink and the flowers are made from the Flowers and Leaf Trio Die-namics from Dies to Die For.

I have distressed all the edges which you can't see properly from the photo but it does have a nice shabby chic, distressed feel to it!  I didn't intend it to start that way but the blade on my trimmer is blunt!! I have added glitter to the flowers and dress so there is a lovely twinkle to it!

Well I hope you have a wonderful day, hopefully the weather will behave itself!

Love to all
