Box of Delights

Hello my friends

I hope you are all having a great Saturday.  The sun has been shining here which is lovely.  I've had a nice day.  I drove up the motorway to visit the Craft Barn, which is a lovely craft shop in Lingfield, Surrey.  I had a nice lunch in a tea shop nearby.  It was very nice and relaxing. I couldn't help but notice the beautiful autumn colours of the trees as I was driving along, they were so beautiful.

I've not made a card today.  I've decided to make some gift boxes, or tinket boxes as Christmas gifts for some people.  I did my first one today!  I think I will keep this one as its the first and kind of a test run!  What do you think?

The plain box is from Kaiser Craft and is the Small Trinket Box. I painted the edges with antique white Kaisercolour paint. The paper I used was My Minds Eye "Quite Contrary" paper, just one 12 x 12 sheet of paper was used.  (I covered the bottom of the inside with it as well.)  The little flowers and leaves I made using the scraps and added some glitter to the edges.

I edged the all the paper with Olive Pastel Chalk inkpad and the pink diamantes on the top are from Ladybug Crafts, and they are so pretty I almost couldnt use them!  I will have to order some more of those pretty quickly!

I really enjoyed doing this and I bought some more little boxes today from the Craft Barn to start decorating, so you may be seeing some more of these, I hope you dont mind!!?  I will get back to the cardmaking soon though as I need to get some more Christmas cards done!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Enjoy your Saturday evening.

Love
Pami x
