Cupcakes

Hi All

Well, what a frustrating day I have had. I popped out this morning which I thought would only be a couple of hours just to do some bits and bobs, I was all the morning and a lot of the afternoon. I wanted to upgrade my mobile phone as the last one had died.  I was in there over 2 hours and even then they couldnt transfer all my numbers across so I had to go home, do it myself and then go back.  Nearly got a parking ticket earlier in the day, then couldnt find a parking space the second time.  Then, I was so fed up after my trauma in there I forgot to get half the stuff I went out for the in the first place.  By then it was 4pm and I just gave up.  ARRGGHHH.

The good thing though was that my new Ladybug stamps were waiting for me on my doorstep when I got home! I've only just got around to trying one out, I didnt think I would be able to get to do a card today.  Mind you its nearly 1am so probably should have let it until tomorrow!!

I love my new little stamp but I am a bit upset about the cupcakes.  I used some glossy accents and then throw on some real sprinkles.  I think they have made it look mesy :-( .  I also tried some faux stitching on this card (Lisa - I had a go!).  Well, it took me ages!  It would have been quicker for me to go out and buy a sewing machine!  I used a sukura pen for the stiching.  Does it look anything at all like stitching?? Advice and comments gratefully received! I dont even think you can see it from my photos anyway!  I did make some big holes but you can't seem them as it is layered onto another piece of paper!  Also is there a tool out there that makes the whole process quicker??!!

I am going to enter into:
I am sure there are more about there but I'm too tired too look now!

I have waffled on a bit, sorry about that.  Really must think about heading to bed.

Hope you have all had great Saturday's and have a restful Sunday.
Love
Pamix

  1. Hi Pami

I think your card looks fantastic!!
The sprinkles and frosting look good enough to eat!
I do faux stitching too because me and my machine don't really get along that well, lol. I think your stitching looks just fine.

Thanks for linking up to Make It Monday this week.

  2. I agree , your stitching looks fine , and those cakes look delish..
I like the way that you have " grounded " your image ie the shading at feet. I am just learning that now .
    Love the paper combination too.

  8. Pami...I have days like that all the time!! I love the colours you've used on your card and the stitching is flab! SU! do a Mat Pack(though not big enough IMHO) where you get a litte plastic square with all the holes plus a squishy mat plus a cutting mat and you can happily make your holes. I hope this is what you were talking about otherwise just ignore the above except how delish your cupcakes look lol xx

  9. Hi Pami! I hope you have fully recovered from your Saturday!!

Your card is so lovely! We are our own worst critics, huh?! I think your sprinkles and stitching are absolutely fine!

The tool that Lisa is talking about is from We R -Memory Makers - Sew Easy. I've just pre-ordered mine from a different company. If you're interested, let me know and I can forward on the email I got!

I work at Embankment Place - not far from you at all!
