Its so great to have extra time to do some crafting. I am so caught up on my DT projects I'm feeling very smug! I've been having a great play around the last couple of days. My first card of 2011 is a new stamp I got just before Christmas and its the fantastic Winestool Nikki (available here). In fact I bought a few new stamps from Kerry and you will be seeing them over the next few weeks!
Most of the stash is new actually. The DPs are Bo Bunny and are from the fabulous Hayley at Funky Farm Scrapbook Farm. She still has her 10% off all orders and free postage over £20 so go and take a look, she has some fabulous stuff.
The ribbon is from Anna Griffin which I bought from QVC in the sale, there were 12 packs of ribbon in all, great bargain.
I really love this card as its my favourite colour and a new fav image. I am very upset though, the card was all finished and then suddenly a small smudge appeared by the second gem. I think its a bit of glue and I dont know what to do to get rid of it. Any suggestions??
The inspiration for the layout of this card came from Silke's blog which I have just found and which is just fabulous.
I am going to enter into the following challenges:

Hi Pami!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the mention, purple really is your colour!!! Your card is fabulous!! I love those papers and winestool Nikki must have been very busy out and about recently as I've seen her on lots of cards!
As for the smudge/glue mark. Whenever I've tried removing a mark from something I always seem to make it worse so my recommedation would be to leave it as it will have been absorbed by the cardstock and the residue is left. (Unless anyone knows a definate working cure!)
What a shame but from the photo I wouldn't have noticed unless you'd said.
The Anna Griffin ribbon is GORGEOUS!!! I might have to have a little look for that LOL!

This is so pretty, what a cool image, too. I didn't notice the smudge until you mentioned it. If it is glue, sometimes I can remove it with a soft eraser after it it completely dry. Love the look of your ribbon and new bobunny papers!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Pami! Love the purple colours you used!

Beautiful card, love the color! As for the glue, I've seen using acetone but you have to check first on a scrap of paper that it doesn't alter the colors of your paper!
ReplyDeleteCute card! Love the sweet image and the fancy ribbon treatment! Happy New Year :)
ReplyDeleteA lovely card, the image and the colours are great. Thanks for playing along at SFC this time

Gorgeous card, love purples, and love that stamp her dress is just designed to be glittered lol. I love that ribbon too, I tried ordering but the site keeps going funny, will have to look again
ReplyDeleteWith the smudges (wouldn't have seen it unless you'd said) have a play round with different scrap papers and different smudges and see what works best, some are fixable, try putty rubbers and clear alcohol markers have fixed some of mine

This is full of gorgosity, Pam! That ribbon and colour are just yum!! I gotta use more purple! Does it clash with orange?!!
ReplyDeleteI use a glue eraser - can't remember the make though! But a soft eraser should work. But some smudges just won't go so I've had to cover them up with embellishments instead! But I didn't notice yours until you mentioned it!
Just gorgeous Pam, fabulous papers and colour. Didn't notice the smudge at all, if it's glue it may not come out. Think I might take the gems off, add them to a panel then put them back so that it can't be seen.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your day and thankyou for all your lovely comments and thoughts.
Luv {brenda} xoxox
HI Pam... get you miss organised lol... am so jealous!!
ReplyDeleteI love love love this card .. as you know "Bar" stool Nikki is my fave ( i will get my hands slapped for that lol - but i am a Northerner!) I love the papers too.. bet you couldn't wait to play when they turned up.
Re the smudge.. i like Brenda's idea.. i dont think i would be any good with an eraser .. would prob make it worse lol
Lisa ;)
Hiya, Ohh I saw those ribbons but was very good and didnt buy!!! Love the card its super. Hazelxoxo
ReplyDeleteIts gorgeous and I so love the purples Pami. Damn I hate when I find a smudge like that:( No amount of erasers or removers ever work unless you are happy with the paper coming away too! I would punch a few petals and turn the centre gem into a flower, that should cover the smudge:)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab card to start the year off! I love this image and the purple really suits her.......I'm going to pop over to Hayley and have a peek!

Two gorgeous cards - great for your card stash!!
ReplyDeleteI didnt notice the glue either until you mentioned it. Sorry I dont know of any methods to remove it. Happy new year!

This is stunnalicious Pam! I love the colours too and the Bo Bunny pp. Not sure if I've seen that one before so must have a look at Miss Hayley's website. Don't you just hate marks that appear from nowhere! I think Brenda's advice is the best. A nice thin panel...a matching panel might be quite nice :-D xx
ReplyDeleteHi There,
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of stamp, love it, a fabbie card.
Thanks for joining us at SFC, good luck.

Gorgeous card Pami, the glittery image and papers are stunning together! I didn't notice the mark until you mentioned it...I think Pinky's suggestion is the best to try and turn the centre gem into a flower :) Donna x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Pami. I love her glittery outfit and matching eye shadow...she looks stunning! Very pretty papers and I love that luscious ribbon.

Hiya, love your card and the colours are really pretty, Kerry's stamps are really great aren't they? Like other bloggers, I wouldn't have noticed the smudge either! I would mention that I recently bought Pinflair photoglue and have recently used this on my matting and layering, bliss! I can manouevre the papers and the papers lay beautifully (if I have any left over glue at the corners, it just rubs off - one of my favourite recent purchases!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful creation, many thanks for entering our challenge this week at Creative inspirations,
