Paper Piecing at LCI

Good Morning All!

Did you all have a great weekend!  I had a great one and feel quite depressed today being back at work!!  Still its a short week so that's something!

I am hosting the new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink this fortnight and the theme is:

"Paper Piecing"

I don't do this technique often enough so thought this would make me do it!  I really like the effect!  Here is my card:

Now I haven't had Nikki out for some time, and she is the reason why I am now stamping so I thought I must use her today!  This is "Wine Stool Nikki", all the Nikki range, and others, can be found at the LCI store here and if you are quick you will be able to purchase any of these cling stamps at half price!

I paper pieced her dress with the gorgeous background papers from Maja Designs - Vintage Summer.  I added some Marianne flower ribbon and mulberry flowers.  Some glamour dust and pearls to finish off.  I wish I looked like her whilst sipping my champagne!

I hope you like my card.  Please hop over to the LCI challenge blog to see all the inspiration from the Ladybugs.

Have a great day and will see you soon.

Shape It Up at MAWTT

Good Morning All!

I hope you are all fine and having a good week.  I am back today with a new challenge at Moving Along With The Times.  I have had a little break from the team and I want to thank Hazel and the girls for bearing with me!

So onto this week's challenge which has been set by our lovely Leesa.

"Shape It Up - Nothing Square"

We are sponsored this week by the brilliant Sir Stampalot who are offering some fabulous Christmas goodies.  Please check out the MAWTT blog for more details.  So onto my card:

Now I have to admit this card was made a while ago on a colouring class that I attended at Crafts U Love which was run by the fabulously talented Jacqui - Cats Whiskers. Its a great class to attend so if you live in the area and fancy fine tuning your colouring skills I would highly recommend this class!

The image is Waterlily Tilda and I am ashamed to say that this is the first Magnolia stamp I have used!!  The paper is also from Magnolia but I am afraid I can't remember the name.  The tag is finished off with gorgeous ribbon, pearls and a touch of glamour dust!

OK, you now need to pop on over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the fabulous inspiration from the team!  Hopefully you will be able to join in this time.  We are currently running challenges for two weeks over the summer so plenty of time to enter!

Have a great day and see you soon!

Well, yes I am alive!  I think this this the longest I've not posted anything :-(  Lots going on at the moment but it is ALL good!

I am also in an Olympic Bubble at the moment!  Not sure what I will do next week when its all finished!  Went up to Hyde Park on Saturday night which is one of the Live Sites in London with massive screens to watch the live action.  Saw Jessica Ennis win her gold there, it was a great atmosphere!  Then got a phone all from a friend on Monday asking if I wanted to go to the Basketball quarter finals, the answer was YES so spent all afternoon at the O2 yesterday!  Fantastic atmosphere!  At least I can now say I went to an event at London 2012!  Will show some photos later in the week.

Now, onto my next bit of EXCITING news!  I am very pleased to say that I am officially a SWEETIE at The Sugar Bowl challenge blog!  I was very excited when Gayle emailed me a while ago and I have been dying to tell everyone!

So, we have a brand new sketch for you today with the theme of "Butterflies".  Here is my card:

I used my gorgeous Delia which you can get from Funky Kits.  She is one of my favourites!  I have gone for one of my favourite colour combinations. The gorgeous paper is again from Maja Design - Vintage Summer Basics.  The border die is from Doo Hickeys and the butterflies are Tonic and Woodware punches.  She is coloured with Copics and Prisma pencils and lots of glamour dust (of course!)

I hope you like her and I hope you can join in this week.  Remember you must use a Sugar Nellie image to be eligible for a prize, which is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps (this rises to 6 if we get over 100 entries!).  Pop on over to the Sugar Bowl blog to check out the sketch and to see all the gorgeous inspiration from the very talented DT (I am so excited to be part of it!)
