Paper Piecing at LCI

Good Morning All!

Did you all have a great weekend!  I had a great one and feel quite depressed today being back at work!!  Still its a short week so that's something!

I am hosting the new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink this fortnight and the theme is:

"Paper Piecing"

I don't do this technique often enough so thought this would make me do it!  I really like the effect!  Here is my card:

Now I haven't had Nikki out for some time, and she is the reason why I am now stamping so I thought I must use her today!  This is "Wine Stool Nikki", all the Nikki range, and others, can be found at the LCI store here and if you are quick you will be able to purchase any of these cling stamps at half price!

I paper pieced her dress with the gorgeous background papers from Maja Designs - Vintage Summer.  I added some Marianne flower ribbon and mulberry flowers.  Some glamour dust and pearls to finish off.  I wish I looked like her whilst sipping my champagne!

I hope you like my card.  Please hop over to the LCI challenge blog to see all the inspiration from the Ladybugs.

Have a great day and will see you soon.

(PS - watch out soon for my birthday candy!)

Love and Hugs

Summer Fun at LCI

Hi All

I hope you are all well and enjoying your week so far.  I am a little late posting this today, so I apologise to my Ladybug Teamies!   We have a brand new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink and this month our theme is:

"Summer Fun"

We are running our challenges over a month during the summer so plenty of time to enter!  And such an easy challenge as well!  Did you enjoy the blog hop last month?  I hope you did.  Please pop over to the challenge blog to see if you were a winner!

So onto my card:

I immediately went to my Flip Flop stamp from the Shoes n' Bags collection which you can get here.  I haven't used this for a while but it is such a fun image! And I love the sentiments that come with it.  I teamed it up with some fab paper from Echo Park called Paradise Beach.  Perfect!

I hope you like it and can take part this month.  Please hop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the inspiration from the gorgeous Ladybugs.

Before I go I want to remind you about the fabulous sale that Kerry has going on at the moment.  All cling stamps are half price until the end of August.  Get over there now!!

OK.  That is it from me!  I will be back later in the week to announce the winner of my blog candy.

Take care and speak soon.

Big Birthday at Ladybug Crafts Ink

Good Morning All!

I hope you are all well and have been enjoying all the Jubilee celebrations in the UK.  As I type this I am watching the Jubilee concert on the TV and Madness are performing on top of the Palace!  Brilliant!
Does anyone follow @Queen_UK on twitter?  The tweets have been hilarious over the weekend, you must follow if you don't already!

Anyway, enough rambling!  Today I am here for a new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink.  The theme has been set by our gorgeous Tams and the theme is:

"Big Birthday"

All the DT are using the same image and you might be able to guess his name just by looking at him:

Did you guess!?  Yep, he is called Beer Belly!  You can get him here in digi.  It was great to colour up a guy image and I had fun doing this.  I used my Echo Park Dots & Stripes Metropolitan pack and used my Die-namics Banner Day die and just added some pearls, ribbon and a button.  The sentiment is a rub on!

I hope you like it.  Do hop over to the challenge blog to check out the rest of the inspiration from the Design Team.

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope your week has started well!  Busy, busy one for me!

I am back today with a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink.  Our challenge this week was chosen by our lovely Pinky who has now very sadly left the design team so this one is in her honour!!  We would like to see:

“Things With Wings”

I love this challenge, it gives me a chance to use Ruby Fairy who I love! Here is my card:

I love Ruby Fairy, this image is called Tulip Ruby and you can get her here.  Now if I did this card again I would have the Memory Box border going straight up and down rather than across the card.  But it was well stuck down when I thought about it so too late to do anything!  The papers are from First Edition – Spring Drop, and I just added my grass die from Die-namics.

Pop on over to the challenge blog to check out the rest of the talented Design Team creations.  Looking forward to seeing all your creations!

Have a great day

Hi All

I hope you had a great Easter, it went so quickly!  Still I have an extra day off today so that's nice!  I am a little bit late this morning with my Ladybug Crafts Ink card, I am all mixed up with my days!

Sally is our hostess today and she would like to see shapes:

"Shapes"

So use plenty of circles, triangles, squares on your card.

I have used the gorgeous Cupcake Ruby on my card, here she is:

I teamed her up with papers from MME Vanity Fair paper pack.  The "Wish" are some wooden letters covered in white ink and glitter.  The bunting is made using my Die-namics die.  And she is completely covered in glamour dust!  That's it!

Don't forget that Kerry has a sale on over at the store, half price cling stamps until next weekend.  Click the photo below to go straight there!

Good Morning All

Its Totally Ladybug Tuesday over at LCI today.  It seems ages since we last had one!  Did you all enjoy the new teen releases?  The creations from design team were fabulous!  You can buy the new releases here

So onto today's new challenge which has been selected by our gorgeous Diane. The challenge is:

"Spots & Stripes"

I decided to use one of my new stamps that I bought in Kerry's recent sale.  I haven't used Jack for a long time so it was fun to do:

This is Guilty Jack which you can get here. I teamed him with my Echo Park Dots & Stripes paper pad, this one is called Metropolitan.  I love all these paper pads, I think I have all the colours now!  The corner die is from Memory Box and is called Madera Corner and I also used my Martha Stewart fence punch.  Nothing too fancy on this card, I kept it simple!

Pop over to the challenge blog to check out all the DT's projects and I hope you can join us this fortnight!

Ok, enjoy your day ladies and I will see you all soon!

My Reveal for LCI

Hi All!

Its Day 5 of the Ladybug Crafts Ink new release and its my turn for the big reveal today!  Don't you think the projects and images have been amazing so far!

OK, you need to pop over to the challenge blog to leave a comment and you could win one of the images I have used today!

So first up today is First Car Josh:

Don't you love him!  I used a combination of paper from MME - Dilly Dally and some paper from MCS.  The urban stamp is from Papermania which I won at the Scrapbook Sisters crop day a couple of weeks ago!  The city skyline was cut with Lisa's Cricut when I was in Yorkshire!

So onto my second project using Coat of Paint Jess:

Now the rest of the Ladybug's so far have used pink and girly colours for Jess!   I decided to keep her in tomboy colours and went for denims/greys with a touch of lilac!!  I got my eyelets out for the first time in about 2 years, I think they work quite well with this card!  The paper is from MME - On the Bright Side and the sentiment is Whimsy Stamps Friendship Tickets.

I hope you like them both.  You can get them both here

Don't forget we are also running an Anything Goes challenge theme for the next fortnight, click here for the details.

OK, that's it from me today.  Have a great day and have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow (if you are in the UK!)

New Challenge at LCI and News!

My post titles must be the most boring ones in blogland!!  I can never think of anything exciting to call them!

Anyway, HI!  As my post title says I am here today for another challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink!  Before I get into the challenge we have some good news.  Our 3 Guest Designers - Diane, Catherine and Sally - are now all permanent Ladybugs so pop over and give them some Ladybug love!

I have more exciting news below so keep reading!  Firstly the challenge for this week has been set by our lovely Julie and the theme is:

"Loves Me, Loves Me Not"

There is a slight change in the rules going forward.  We will be offering two prizes each fortnight.  The first is the usual random winner who wins a prize and the second is a random winner who uses a LCI image.  So onto my card:

I used one of the new Love and Marriage images, called The Kiss, which you can get as a digi image here. I used a new embossing folder that I got just before Christmas which I thought was lovely with all the hearts!  I just added some red felt roses and ribbon.  The sentiment is a freebie from a magazine.

So onto the last bit of exciting news!  Our next challenge on 14 February will incorporate a NEW RELEASE and a BLOG HOP!  Grab the banner below and pop onto your side bar and then wait for the fun to begin on 14 February!

You may even start seeing some sneak previews of the new images before then just to get you in the mood!  The images are fabulous, you won't be disappointed!!

Lastly, before I go, you only have TODAY to get over to the LCI store and purchase your rubber stamps at half price.  Sale ends midnight tonight!

Bows at LCI!

Good Morning!

I hope your week has started well. Its so cold here at the moment!  Can't complain though cos its lovely and sunny at the same time!

We have a brand new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink today, where did the last two weeks go!!  Anyway, our Sue has set our challenge today, she would like to see:

"Bows"

Sue really is the queen of bows so I wanted to make mine big and bold!  Here is my card:

I am very stingy with my ribbon most of the time, so I was breaking out into a cold sweat using this much ribbon on one card!!  I think I might just keep the card for myself!  The ribbon is of course from Stamping Up and took about 2 hours to get the bow right!

I have used a blue and brown colour combination again which I am really loving at the moment!  I have used Original Nikki, the sentiment is from Pollycraft and is perfect for Nikki don't you think!  I have used papers from Echo Park Candy Shoppe, Dots & Stripes, I love this pack, I have just bought some more in different colours.   I just added some glamour dust and pearls to finish off.

Now don't forget that you can buy all stamps at half price until the end of January (does not include digital images).  So get on over there!

When you have finished shopping hop on over to the challenge blog to see the inspiration from the rest of the Ladybugs, they are all awesome!

Have a great day.

Bingo at Ladybug Crafts Ink!

Good Morning All

I hope everyone is well!  Very busy I expect, not long to go now to the big day!

Anyway I am back today for a new challenge at Totally Ladybug Tuesday!  Our gorgeous Sue is our wonderful hostess and we have a bingo card for you this week!

So you just need to pick three in a row to use on your card - horizontal, vertical or diagonal.  (Or you can go for the full house if you want to, some of our Ladybugs have done just that, although I think they are just after Teacher's Pet this week!)

I have gone for Felt, Flowers and Pearls.  Now this should have been a real easy card right?  Felt, Flowers, Pearls, I mean I use them on every single card I make.  Well the first card I did was thrown in the bin and I just could not get it right after that.  It was just one mistake after another and the mojo just left town.

I do love the image though and she is Flower Ruby which you can get here.  I love her all glittered up.  The flowers are made using my Die-namics Flower and Leaf Trio die and the gorgeous felt is also from Ladybug Crafts here, Kerry has some gorgeous colours, I just can't live without felt now!!

So that's it from me.  Sorry my card is so rubbish!  But the other Ladybugs have done a fabby job so do go along to the challenge blog and check out all the cool inspiration!
Have a great day!
Love

Good Morning!

I hope you are all well and keeping warm!  The snow has arrived although not down South where I am!

Its Totally Ladybug Tuesday and we have a brand new fabulous challenge for you.  Before I go onto the new challenge I just want to thank everyone for joining in with my WOW challenge last week, there were some amazing entries.  Please pop along to the challenge blog to see if you are a winner!

So onto today, our gorgeous Lisa is our hostess this week and her challenge is:

"Sparkle and Snowflakes"

What a great challenge!  Along with the new challenge we have a brand new Stamp of The Month which all the DT have used for this challenge, (I love SOTM week!).  Here is my card:

The SOTM is Tom and Snowman, isn't it cute!  Really easy to colour and perfect for those last minute Christmas cards!  You can get him here and he is half price for the whole month of December!

I wanted to go with alternative Christmas colours so I went with Pinks and Blues.  The papers are from Christmas Joy from First Edition. The felt is also from LCI.  The die is from Memory Box (loving their dies!!) and the ribbon is from my stash.  There is so much glitter on this card it really sparkles although it doesn't really show up!  I enjoyed making this card!

Before I go I just wanted to say hi to Catherine, Diane and Sally who have joined us as Guest Designers for December.  Please go along and leave them some Ladybug love, they are all fabulous ladies and have made some wonderful projects!

Well I think that's it for today.  We look forward to seeing your creations.
