New Challenge at the Hobby House

Hi Everyone!

Well I am still on holiday, enjoying the sunshine (hopefully!)

We have a brand new challenge over at the Hobby House this month and we would like you to use any of the new toppers that available from the store here. They are all so gorgeous and you will have seen some fabulous inspiration already from the DT and from the shows on C&C!

I decided to make a wall hanging this month and here it is:

Close up of each section

I have used the new Wee Stamps toppers called "Its a Boy".  Here is a full list of Hobby House products with links to the store so you can go and take a look:

Other products I used were various dies from La La Land and Memory Box.  The hanging was actually made by using a Papermania chipboard album

I hope you like it.  Please pop on over to the main challenge blog for all the gorgeous inspiration!

Have a great day

Anything Goes at The Hobby House

Good morning all.

This post should have gone out on Saturday but we lost our phone and internet on Friday and have only just got it back today!  I'm not really sure about this living in the country lark! Since we moved in last September we have had about 4 power cuts, lost Internet and phone 3 or 4 times and flooding in the area. I didn't get any of this living in London!

Anyway Saturday saw the start of a new challenge at The Hobby House. Did you see the show on create and craft on Friday? Wasn't it great. Lots of new products which you can find in the online store. The challenge theme this month is:

"Anything Goes"

BUT YOU MUST USE AT LEAST ONE HOBBY HOUSE PRODUCT

Here is my project:

I used one of my many wooden boxes to decorate with all Hobby House products.  Here are the products with a link to the store:

HH Imperial Damask Paper
HH Majestic Damask Paper
Pearl String
Fancy Button
Rhinestone Sparkler
Mulberry Rose Flowers
Silver Book Corners
HH Ladies Large Cameo

I also used a Chestnut Roan Color Box ink pad to ink the edges and the leaves are from a die from Joanna Sheen.

I hope you can pop on over to the main challenge blog to see all the wonderful DT inspiration and I apologise to them that my post is so late!

Hobby House Inspiration

Good Morning Everyone

The start of another week!  I hope you all had good weekends.  We spent the time looking for some new bedroom furniture in the sales.  We think we have narrowed it down so just need to do some measuring and work out what we need!

Anyway I am starting the week with some inspiration for the Hobby House blog.  If you haven't been onto the blog recently then do pop over.  Jill has sent over some photos from the CHA and they look great!

Today I have continued with the Ribbon theme which is currently running on the challenge blog.  Here is my card:

I can't tell you how many times I took this photo!  I am still not happy with it but it was the best of a bad lot!!  The card in real life looks lovely.  I cut out a scalloped rectangle and used a selection of ribbons behind the shape.  I matted this up on a scalloped card base.  I added a ribbon down the side with a beautiful pearl ribbon slider.  The image is from Elisabeth Bell.  A full list of the products with a link to the shop are below:

Don't forget you still have plenty of time to join in with our ribbon challenge this month!  Oh and if anyone has any tips on how to photograph mostly white cards I would appreciate it!!

I would like to enter this card into the Ribbon Challenge at Allsorts.

Have a great day!

I really hope that you will all be able to join in each month.  Please grab the link above to head on over and become a follower if you aren't already!  Also check us out on Facebook and Twitter too.

So onto the challenge!  As its our first one the theme this month is:

"Anything Goes"

Easy!!  And because this is our first challenge you can enter as many times as you like and you DON'T need to use Hobby House products!  The winner will receive £25 gift voucher to spend at the Hobby House!!!

Here is my first creation:

It was a little tricky to photograph this one!  Basically its an envelope box which I have covered inside and out.  All the products I have used are from the Hobby House (apart from the paper and the box) and these are all listed below.  I used two of the images so that I could decoupage up her wings and have added loads of glamour dust for extra sparkle!!  I love this image and these colours are my favourite too!

The Hobby House products used are:

Wee Stamps Silver Fairy - pre-coloured sheet;
Pearl Ribbon -
Fancy Button (for the middle of the bow) (these are gorgeous!)

The paper is from First Edition and is called New Bloom and the Filigree Corner Die is from La La Land.

I hope you like it!  You need to pop on over to the main challenge blog now to check out all the gorgeous inspiration and get all the details!

Have fun!
Love and Hugs
