Delia - Sugar Nellie

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  It flew by so quickly.  I am now stuffed with turkey and chocolates!!  Diet starts on 5 January!

I made a card before Christmas using one of my favourite images from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits.  She is called Delia and here she is:

Close Up

I kept the card simple, I like this style a lot at the moment.  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella, Faith the Fairy Uptown Girl.  I have used this sentiment many times and I really love it.  I have coloured Delia with copics and just mounted on some bazzill cs and added some glamour dust and pearls.

I would like to enter my card into the Sugar Bowl challenge this month.

I hope you have a lovely rest of the day.  I am off work next week so am looking forward to a relaxed few days.  I am thinking of hitting the sales tomorrow!  I will see how I feel in the morning!!

Speak soon

Inspiration for Sugar Nellie

Good Morning Everyone!

Its the weekend, woo hoo!!  Hope you have something great planned.  I am here today to share a card for the Sugar Nellie blog.  The sweeties over at the Sugar Bowl were asked if  we could make a card and of course I said yes!  Here it is:

I have used the very gorgeous Winter Wonders Princess.  She was a dream to colour.  I have teamed her with some papers from Craftwork Cards but I am afraid I don't know what they are called!  They are very pretty though, not really a colour scheme that I would go for but I do like it!  I have used Lil'Inker Stitched Rectangles die and Joanna Sheen leaves.  The mulberry rose flowers and fancy button are from Hobby House.

I hope you like her and feel inspired to pop on over to Funky Kits to check out all the gorgeous images!!

OK, I had better going, have a good day and see you soon!

Sugar Nellie "Winter Wonders" Blog Hop

Good Morning All!

Exciting times at Sugar Towers today!  We have a brand new Winter Wonders release!

The new images are available at Funky Kits right now!

So, we are having a blog hop to celebrate this release and there are prizes on offer!!   We are using both the new images and some older Sugar Nellie Christmas images.

Now you should have arrived here from my gorgeous teamie Susan, if not head on back to the Sugar Nellie blog to start the hop there.  OK here is my card:

For my card I have used an older image and this one is "Wish Upon a Star".  I do love this image and have used it a few times!  I coloured her with copics and polychromos.  The paper is some old Kanban Christmas paper and I have used my Die-namics "Let it Snowflake" die and Lil'Inkers Stitched Rectangle.  The pearls, silver book corner and rhinestone sparkler are from the Hobby House.

Now you need to hop on over to the very talented Mina.

Remember to leave comments on each DT blog for a chance to win a prize!  And if you get lost on the way head back to the Sugar Nellie blog!

New Challenge at the Sugar Bowl

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY MAWTT POST

Hi Again!

Before I get onto my next card I just want to apologise for being such a bad blogger recently.  I have spent most of my time packing, sorting, speaking to solicitors, taking trips to the tip, etc, etc!  Moving day is tomorrow and I am packing up my final bits today, including my craft room!  Once I am settled again I will make time to come round and see you all.  I do appreciate you all visiting me and leaving comments, especially when I don't get a chance to come back and see you all.

So onto my card for the new Sugar Bowl challenge.  Remember the theme is:

"Anything Goes"

BUT you must remember to use a Sugar Nellie image.  Check out Funky Kits who have all the Sugar Nellie sweetness for you to buy!  Here is my card:

I have used the gorgeous Lolitta which you can get here from Funky Kits.  This is the first time I have coloured her up, I loved doing her hair!  The papers are Vintage Marketplace from Bazzill Basics and I have just added some mulberry flowers and pearls from The Hobby House. The die is from Cheery Lynn - Mini Fanciful Flourish.

You now need to pop on over to the Sugar Bowl challenge blog for more gorgeous inspiration and also to say goodbye to Erika who, very sadly, is stepping down from the Design Team.

OK, that is it from me today.  Am off to finish off my packing.  I will see you on the other side!  Have a great day.

Love and Hugs

I made another card today "just because"!  Not for any Design Team!  Its another Sugar Nellie image and this time its from Krista Smith called Picture Pose which you can get from Funky Kits here.  I followed the sketch at the Sugar Bowl and this is what I came up:

The papers are from MME - Miss Caroline - Dolled Up.  I just added some glamour dust and gems, and ribbon from my stash. I hope you like her!

That's it from me for now, enjoy the rest of your afternoon!

Before I go I just want to mention that Moving Along With The Times is celebrating its 3rd birthday on Thursday!

Sugar Nellie

Hi All.
I hope your weekend went well.  The weather didn't really improve did it.

When I started the year I made a resolution to use images and make cards "just because" and not for any DT work (which, don't get me wrong I do still enjoy!)  The year started off well but somehow has slipped again so I am trying to make more of an effort again now!  One of those that I wanted to use more of and enter more of their challenges was at the Sugar Bowl using Sugar Nellie images. So I coloured up an image over the weekend for this week's sketch challenge.  Here is my card:

This gorgeous little thing is called Charlotte and you can get her at Funky Kits here.  She is absolutely shimmering in glitter but you can't see it from the photos!  I had a lot of trouble finding some paper that was Violet or had shades of this colour, which is odd as it is one of my favourite colours!  I've used some more of my Mulberry Flowers again, from the Hobby House here.  I know I am late to the party with these but I am loving using them!

I gave the corners some detail with my corner punch, which I don't think I like really but it was too late to change it!  I also used my butterfly punches which I am also still loving.  The ribbon is from my stash.

I hope you like her, I certainly enjoyed colouring her up!

OK, that's it from me for now.  Have a great day!

Final Easter Card

Hi All,

Hope your Easter weekend is going well!  I have one more Easter card to share with you today.  I don't make many but the cute little images from Sugar Nellie were so great to colour up I made a couple more than normal!

Here is my card:

I love the colours in this card, so fresh.  I have used Daffy Pip again which you can get from Funky Kits here.  I am not happy with my colouring on this, (just noticed some areas which aren't quite right but I won't point them out to you!) The papers are from Echo Park and I have just added some ribbon from my stash.  The flowers and grass are Die-namic dies.

Before I go I just want to mention that Kerry at Ladybug Crafts Ink is having a sale. Woo Hoo!!  Calorie free treats over Easter with half price on all stamps!!  Click the image below to check it out:

Well I had better get a move on as I haven't done a thing yet this morning.  I was up until 2am colouring in!  I have a party to get ready for later and it will take me a good few hours to make myself presentable!!

Have a great day!

Easter Wishes!

Good Morning!

I hope you all had great weekends!  Nearly Easter can you believe it!  I finish work tomorrow and then am off until the following Wednesday, can't wait!

I haven't made many Easter cards but I did buy some of the new Sugar Nellie digi images recently and this one is called Chocolate Pip.  I made a couple of cards with her!

I cut the image out and popped the basket of chocolate eggs to the side.  She was lovely to colour up!  The papers are a mixture of Echo Park Country Drive and Dots & Stripes Candy Shoppe Collection.  I followed the sketch at Quixotic Paperie this month.

I hope you like them.  I had better dash!  Have a great day!
