New York Style

Good morning everyone

Mary thank you so much for your comments and advice.  I really do appreciate it.  The more I look at other bloggers the more I find and there is a whole world out there that I didnt realise existed!  You could spend all day just looking at other blogs.  I'm just in awe of all the fabulous crafters out there.

I've done another birthday card today.  I'm happer with this than the previous ones.  I've used a stamp that I love and have had for ages and don't actually use.  I've just used some black and white card that I had in my stock, some red ribbon and fancy brads.  There is some dimension to this card although you can't see it from the photos!

I'm happy with my colouring this time using promarkers.  I did colour the image twice, the first time I used the blender and it just looked like the pens had bled, it just looked awful.  So tried a second time and just blended with the different colours.

If anyone has any comments on how I could have done this card differently or how I could have just taken it up a level I really would love to hear them.

Anyway, I had better go and feed Coco.  She keeps walking across the PC and she was throwing herself across my card whilst I was trying to put the card together.  I think she is trying to tell me something!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.  I am off to a BBQ later.  Hope the weather holds!

Take care and thank you for looking
Pami x

PS - I added the bow afterwards!

I am entering this card in the Fab'N'Funky What'eva challenge.  Also One Stop Fashion Throughout The Years Challenge.

  1. Hi Pami, this card is just gorgeous, love that gorgeous image and the lovely papers. The only thing I would have added is a big bow at the side to match her hat lol. But its perfectly stunning as it is.

  3. Hey Pami! What a gorgeous card! Honestly, I can't believe you're new to this!!! I like Pinky's idea - you place it slightly at an angle in the upper left hand side of the label. But it's perfect as it is!
